An alarming situation with Leicester City

Not even in Champions League, were the Foxes are exempt of ridicule, humiliation, and exposing an all-around crisis in its ranks, that are becoming a bit worrisome for Claudio Rainieri and its club top brass.

After suffering a 5-0 rout at Porto’s venue Estadio Dragao and lacking  several of his star base left at home in the comfort and coziness of home,  the Italian Boss is seeing red with a humiliating loss endured to an English squad for quite some time.

Still the slump these are living in league play and with the pretext of focusing seriously in displaying another fairy tale in one of the worlds and Europe’s utmost tourney, the Champions League.

Not even in this competition were they supposed to perform amazingly and despite being in the knockout rounds with an almost perfect run and not allowing its foes in their group many goals against them.

Today was the day that perfection ceased to exist in the City squad and seeing how an inspired Portuguese squad aided by its raucous fan base, these displayed an offensive might, like no other and thanks to some luck the Foxes prevented a much larger rout.

As the crisis seems to be deepening in King Power Stadium and many tabloids suddenly talking about the Italian Boss job could be in jeopardy if the odd results continue to deface a squad that rose above the rest and made us lived a one of a kind campaign in its previous edition.

Not everything is negative for the Foxes, despite the horrible loss they finish atop their group and net their pass along with some of Champion’s already familiar elite in of Barcelona, Arsenal, Atletico Madrid and Juventus.

For now, they have to wait for UEFA’S draw scheduled on December 12 and see who will be their next stage foe and many see a possible drawing against Spanish power Real Madrid, still you never know who will be their next challenge in this competition.

Coming next weekend the City crew will be preparing to get out of the slump against Manchester City at home in King Power Stadium, a win will be a boost of confidence for the defending champions and for Rainieri to recover his winning rhythm.

Maybe he can change his traditional 4-4-2 formation to a new one and see how his gamble paid off by leaving some of his starters at home and these are ready to show off their spirit and courage lost in this campaign but never too late to recover it.

Very well, add some ground between them and the horrific relegation spots that once they were on the brink of going down and got saved by Rainieri contemporary and later you are familiar with the Emperors feat.

For now, this odd result and match will be outdated for the Blues and focus on the domestic competition too to try, leveled their campaign, and maybe finish among the top five elite, although the competition so disputed.

However if the Foxes cannot defend their title and repeat as the league overall champions, at least these can write another chapter in their history and put this club in the plus and making a return to European competitions with a nice position.

Difficult but not impossible for Leicester City to turn dreadful to amazing and close with a bang instead of a negative that so far has overshadow this club in the campaign.

Something to be alarmed was the poor recruitment, lacking an aggressive and ambitious game and the spirit shown last campaign for many of its players, still this has a solution at the end.
Yes, the Emperor has the solution in his hands and sooner than later, he can put this club in the positive and in contention.
