Major League Soccer 2017 Campaign- Will the LA Galaxy continue its dominance under Curt Onalfo

A new era in Tinsel Town is about to start, after Bruce Arena departure, a new man took over the  helm of the Angelino squad, that in Major League Soccer circles is considered among the most successful.

Very well considered an spectacular one, that the number of soccer luminaries that have paraded in Carson Center have earn them the moniker of the American Galacticos!

As new Boss Curt Onalfo is about to take an all-around challenge of seeing a winning tradition continue for his Galaxy as well its dominance in MLS and possibly start the same in the area of CONCAFAC as one of the top squads.

By far the challenges ahead for Manager Onalfo are not easy but not difficult with the squad he and this club front office are building around him to make a contender and try to win it all in this campaign.

Long gone are Steven Gerrard and Robbie Keane as the utmost players in the Angelino squad, still this is a new start and possibly new parade of top notch players to try to make an impact in this and many campaigns to come.

So far, the City of Angels squad has given contract extensions to Sebastian Llegett and Jelle Van Damme to new contracts and the return of forward Jack Mc Bean from Coventry City is shaping up into another strong contender.

By seeing Leonardo, AJ De La Garza, Jeff Laurentowickz and Alan Gordon departing to new squads, the need to reinforce the roster is one of Manager Onalfo utmost priorities.

The official arrival of USMNT and former Rapids midfielder Jermaine Jones to Tinsel Town and Vitória Guimarães Portuguese midfielder Joao Pedro, this area is becoming a lethal one for the Galaxy.

Despite rumors and ongoing negotiations with French, side Marseilles for Romain Alessandrini and the interest of Jonathan Dos Santos in reuniting with his brother from Villarreal FC, if the deals go through, lookout Galaxy.

As the Galaxy Boss can wait for the campaign to start, still his preseason with matches against Liga MX side Tijuana Xolos at Stub Hub Center, Las Vegas Cashman Center to face San Jose Quakes and return to their last preparation match against the Portland Timbers.

The prospects of their regular campaign schedule looks a bit contested and tough, as the LA squad prepares itself to front a tough home stand at Stub Hub Center, opening with the Dallas FC on March 4 and a week later against the Portland Timbers.

For now the Galaxy Boys are looking forward to another campaign and see the best of their new players along the current ones making wonderful music in the field and delivering the magic that the LA Club has accustomed us.

One for sure this squad will be among the top six and netting a spot in the league postseason, despite seeing a new member in the Western Conference, this squad is ready for any upcoming challenges ahead.

If the Hollywood Boy’s maintain a healthy squad and up their game to a more dynamic and spectacular one, very well seeing a reunion with the Dos Santos Brothers and the arrival of a top of the line players.

At the end, my forecast for this group to have a finish around third or fourth place and with a spot in the postseason, still nothing written in what seems to be a much-contested edition of Major League Soccer.

For first year Manager Curt Onalfo, its hands on and business as usual to make a stand with his squad and looking forward to an spectacular campaign with his Galaxy and deliver more shields to its halls in Carson Center.
