An inspired Arsenal edged the league champions in the FA Cup

This is one serious competition in the league of England, celebrating its 136th edition and with two London Town rivals staging it, as the Chelsea Blues looking forward to a double after winning the league.

On the other side, the Arsenal Gunners looking forward to salvage their troubled campaign that many of its legions of followers have demanded for its longtime Boss Arsene Wegner to step down.

Playing the league champions Chelsea is not a walk in the park or a picnic after displaying a one of a kind campaign and lifting the coveted and disputed of trophies.

After winning the league shield, the Pensioners had the odds heavily in their favor to take it all, with a Gunners squad coming from a see saw of a campaign better translated into a troubled one.

Still there were ninety minutes to be played and with the stage ready in the cathedral of football Wembley Stadium showing off red and blue colors all over this colossus, the game was on.

Controversial and disputed was the way this match played in its entirety.

As the ugly ducklings, the Gunner squad came labeled, but all of a sudden, the best they saved for this occasion after coming short of finishing among the top four for the first time in twenty years.

Today this was to be Arsenals afternoon, since the start of the match the dominance seen by Wegner initial eleven dominating the actions when the opportunity came knocking on their favor.

Let us start with Arsenal first score, when a filtered pass by Alexis Sanchez to beat the Blues keeper and after a debatable play that the flagmen showed his flag up for offside at the end the match referee awarded the goal to the Gunners.

With just four minutes in the game, the Chilean put his underdog squad up and despite the heated protests from the Blues Boss; the play stood and to the joyous frenzied of the Gunners followers seeing their squad up on the score.

This did not stop the Blues to start a comeback and with a brilliant play executed by their lead man in the front, Diego Costa, he tied the score in the 76 minute to a raucous celebration by the Chelsea faithful gathered.

Not even that goal prevented the debacle for the league champions to see things not going their way when they were down one man after Moses took a dive in the area and the referee did not hesitated to give him a direct red card.

However, this was to be Gunners of a day.

Not even two minutes passed by when the play in midfield from Arsenal started with a long pass from Alexis Sanchez to Oliver Giroud inside the area and the Frenchman little he knew he could do.

He passed the ball in the middle to who became the hero of the match Aaron Ramsey pushing the ball and to the delirium of the Gunners faithful celebrating loudly their squad feat and bring home to Emirates their seventh FA Cup.

For Arsene Wegner despite the heroics, his future is still in limbo although his all-around feat of delivering his seventh FA shield as manager of this historic London club, well done Mon ami!
