In the Airtricity League its Déjà Vu All Over Again

Indeed, as last campaign we had the same two clubs, fighting for a shoot of the league top as well in a way to net the Airtricity League shield.

With Dundalk FC and Cork City FC being in a one and two positions- one more time as well seeing a reprise of last campaign as this clubs once again are fighting for!

The last edition champions Dundalk Lilywhites are so far in control of the top with just two points into their advantage, after the eight week of play- so far the Boys managed by Stephen Kenny are doing it all over again.

Trying their best to repeat their banner campaign, as 2014 was a bit generous by netting the league shield as well a league of Ireland Cup making a double for the Lilywhites; very well this 2015, starting with the right foot by adding another shield in the LFA Presidents Cup.

Not bad as the Dundalk boys are for a UEFA Europa Cup challenge alongside try to make the best run ever to get out of the knockout rounds and get into the big competition and not be eliminated as last campaign.

As for the Cumann Peile Dhún Dealgan or better known as Dundalk a squad based in County Loth, its Déjà vu all over again with a contested chase by its new arch-rivals the Rebel Army being  just a match away from taking over the coveted league top from them.

Still for Manager Stephen Kenny he and his chaps, this contest is like going to the races- in what seems to be another exciting and out of bounds league run for the league shield with back to back wins as well try to net more silverware to the halls of Oriel Park.

In the case of the Leesiders and their Boss John Caulfield seeing his effort going down after a much antagonistic neck to neck run with their new nemesis the Lilywhites, it’s now or never as internal league cups are in paly as well the two Irelands contest.

It’s now or never for getting a couple of shields or the big one for the boys of the Cumann Peile Chathair Chorcaí who is in need or desperate to net some silverware to the halls at Turner’s Cross Grounds.

This is a repeat of last campaign race between these two colossi- going neck to neck for the ultimate prize as well bragging rights and the top of the top of supremacies’ and dominance in league play.

Who will it be the Cumann Peile Chathair Chorcaí or the defending champions in the Cumann Peile Dhún Dealgan, who will be the top notch manager to lead its squad to the extreme of victories, Stephen Kenny or John Caulfield? You’ll be the judge at the end in the Airtircity League of Ireland!
