David Moyes mission impossible at Sunderland

After a flashy interview on an English tabloid the same day, he was to face his old club at the Stadium of Light with his Black Cats. Suddenly for David Moyes, the new Sunderland Boss, after reminiscing his glory days at Goodison Park, were he said to possibly delivered the Barclays Premiership Shield, everything came tumbling down for his Sunderland Boys.

On an afternoon of pure football heroics from the Toffees, front men, Romelu Lukaku treble of an afternoon, that put on a silencer to all of the Black Cats supporters and once again, these looking forward to another disappointing campaign.

So far Sunderland in its four matches played, with just one mingy point to account in the campaign and the prospects of this club to prevent another disastrous campaign, lays within their man at helm of their club putting his mouth aside.

Still with a league, just starting it is too early to judge, as time for now can be on the Scot side, after taking over for Big Sam Allardyce, considered a savior for many Black Cats fans after staging the miracle of staying put in Premiership for another campaign.

After that Monday loss, Sunderland Boss better be putting to work his new strategies, as the campaign can be a very long one if positive results not delivered as well keen to keep this club as far away possible from the relegations spots.

As every campaign in the past four years, this squad is depending on their sheer luck and almost falling to the likes of Championship League, suddenly a miracle happens and this, club fortunes dwindle once gain and assure their permanency in the top flight.

As he mentioned in this interview, clubs with manager’s long-term relationships are likely to become successful and with the School of Science eleven years under its helm, he really produced a very competitive squad, despite the club budget constraints.

His years in Walton, Liverpool under the Blues helm netted him the utmost of positions as Manager at Manu and replacing a legend in his countrymen, many thought that the Red Devils were going to see a winning continuance at Trafford. Wrong many were as Manchester United became too big of an entity for this man and his fortunes took a dive at the end.

After his brief stint with United, his services were wanted at Anoeta, Spain and taking over Real Sociedad for another unsuccessful and brief period where David Moyes saw his fortunes and value as a Manager dip to another low.

Still the man has a little charm and somehow Sunderland FC when they lost Big Sam Allardyce to the English National Squad helm, it is when his name pop up in the radars of this Tyne- Daly entity to take over its affairs.

Coming to Stadium of Light, once again this man is seeing an encore during his old days at Goodison Park, working with a tight and limited budget, still this man worked his magic and convinced this club top brass for more reinforcements.

Even though the club did not had any big signing’s, Moyes started delivering big names as reunions with Steven Piennar on a free transfer, Manu prospects in Adnan Januzaj, David Love and Paddy Mc Nair not considered by new Boss Mourinho. To close the transfers market the arrival in former Chelsea Papy Djilobodji and keeper Mika, that could filled the voids that this club needed.

The Moyes era was under way to front in what seems a tough and competed Premiership as well this club revival in its game that could lead them to a stellar and not a sorry campaign for its utmost loyal legion of followers.

With the new campaign the Moyes war machine has not made its mark and not to start panicking but with three loses and a draw, many are becoming a bit uneasy with the results so far in the campaign, although its first half has not yet come to a close.

However, the outlook in Sunderland does not look promising if the negative streak continues, for Manager David Moyes being this sort of a mission impossible it may be one very challenging campaign ahead of him with his Boys.

For David Moyes carrying on his favor this campaign being in its early stages, maybe he can make some necessary corrections in his initial eleven and playing with formations that are more comfortable for his initial eleven.

Time will be in Manager Moyes side or possibly against him, if he does not finds an immediate solution to his club woes and remedies a negative situation that has possessed this club for quite some time, will he deliver or be another bust in his career.

Only time will tell!
