A Bohemian rhapsody in the Dublin Derby

This time Richmond Park lived a disappointing night after seeing their troubled Pats dropping a crucial if not important match in this edition of the Dublin Derby.

For the Saints Boss Liam Buckley, who is desperately looking for a formula to deliver positive results, something that is becoming hard to come in Inchicore.

Also by seeing his deflated Pats playing a modest and not so brilliant football in this edition of the League of Ireland, seems that the need to win is becoming necessary for his St. Pats.

The match between them and their cross-town arch rivals, the Bohemians FC was not to be a walk in the park, but Buckley knows its foe very well and by playing at home, the possibility of delivering a win and three points of golds was a big possibility.

In the case of the Phibsborough bunch, the Bohs, these came with all the confidence in the world and looking to a win in order to continue their ascent in the league overall table as well see a continuance of their revival.

As the Gypsies Boss Keith Long was ready to front another challenge very well take advantage of their neighbor’s weakness to deliver another important feat and three points in their aim to mount a charge towards the league top three spots.

For the hosts this match and first half dominance became a possible light at the end of the tunnel for them as well looking forward to a win that be labeled as valuable and much opportune.

With the St. Pats taking the early lead via Alex Hanlon in the 40, he gave his squad the lead and before halftime, going to this match intermission with a goal and the momentum on their side and a frantic grand stand in Richmond.

Still the afternoon belonged to the visiting Gypsies that after being down in the scoreboard in the first half, the second saw an awakening offensively for manager Long and his troops, making an all-around comeback.

Despite the Pats followers chanting we are staying up, this was not sufficient for the fury mounted by a trio of Bohs who rally past the hosts backfield and beating the likes of keeper Connor O’Malley who saw his efforts dwindle.

As Oscar Breannan in the 52 putting the scores even, came Dinny Corcoran to score the go-ahead goal and in the 82 minute Georgie Poyton deliver the game winner and assurance goal for the win.

Not only these three were the heroes of the match, but give credit to Keith Ward for his contributions in the field that helped seal the win for his Bohs and once again, these are on the hunt for the league top spots.

Very well, with this win, the Bohs situate themselves in seventh place and with 23 points, after this win is a plus, after their horrible start in this campaign, occupying the last spots of relegation and now these are staging a total comeback.

So far the Big club has won a couple of important games in this campaign on the road, were these have shown an all-around defiance and toughness, playing as a visiting entity the Bohs are looking very fearsome.
