Colorado Rapids Ready to Front another Challenging Campaign

For the Rapids and their second year Boss Pablo Mastroeni, it’s time to get serious and have his club play a more ambitious football to prevent future debacles.

As all of a sudden this squad started playing a one of a kind ball in last campaign, until its meltdown before the All Star Break, which saw this squad its postseason intentions decimated and sudden good start went nowhere.

Pablo Mastroeni during his play days he won several honors to his CV, as Boss of the Colorado squad his situation is not in a dire one, still being a Manager takes its skills as well level a squad that suddenly sees its campaign shrinks.

Not this 2015 as he is ready to front in what many see a very disputed and limited space for the Western Conference postseason, with only six spots available and two new members in the SKC and Houston Dynamo.

That will add some excitement to this campaign and a lot of competitiveness in both conferences that its Eastern counterpart will see the debut of NYFC and Orlando SC, bringing a lot of heat to this campaign.

its why this Rocky Mountain club front office took matters into their own hand, by reinforcing many of its weak areas and form a contender coming into this 2015 edition of MLS.

The arrival of former defensive greats from Portland Timbers Michael Harrington and Chivas USA Bobby Burling well reinforcing their midfield with San Jose Quakes Sam Cronin and LA Galaxy Marcelo Sarvas.

Who alongside newcomer from Argentinian League Belgrano Lucas Pittinari will make these Coloradoans a squad not to mess with as well make them an overall contender in this 2015.

Still the buck doesn’t stop here, while this squad is currently doing their preseason at Las Vega Invitational tournament, rumors put that they are looking for more players and possibly the name of Uruguayan international Diego Forlan to become a Rapid.

With a successful draft and hopefully their new additions can make the big squad, the rapids score a ten with two defenders in Axel Sjöberg and Joe Greenspan- the Rapids future in tis backfield is looking very promising.

Manager Mastroeni will have his hands full in deciding who will be his next goalkeeper, with the arrival from Philadelphia Union Zac MacMath-Rapids who will start a certain competition for the starting role with already Rapids keepers Clint Irwin and substitute John Berner.

The essence of football is its multiple challenges that will offer in its beginning and its end of every campaign and for its Manager Pablo Mastroeni who has seen his request fulfilled by his club front office.

Now his biggest defiance will be of making a brethren or mystic of harmony between his new and current players in order to give its supporters a dandy of a campaign filled with a lot of enthusiasm and a rewarding one.

That at the end, this squad new hopes and squad can hopefully net many achievements and overcome their challenges and don’t repeat their last campaign misfortunes that cost them their ticket to the promised land of the postseason.
