Finally a much needed win for West Ham

Everton 1, West Ham United 3
Goodison Park, Liverpool

As stated in the title, finally is the ideal word to see the Hammers win their first match of the campaign, returning the belief in players and manager alike for this London base club, after its struggling start.

With a double of Andriy Yarmolenko and Marko Arnatouvic adding to the cause to see this club delivered their first win of the campaign with a notable score on a win considered as valuable on the road.

For Manuel Pellegrini the day came when his Irons won their first game of the campaign after three horrible setbacks in the campaign, now the coast is clear to start adding much needed points after they found their game.

Playing on the road and at always difficulty Goodison Park against a much-hardened Everton, the Academy of Football netting a result for sure will uplift their all-around confidences in the remainder of the campaign.

Getting a result on the road for sure is motivating as well beating a club plagued with many stars in its initial eleven, for Pellegrini and company netting a result in Liverpool considered like a grand achievement.

Coming to this match both squad managers look for ways to deliver a much needed win, for Everton Marco Silva with a 4-2-3-1 contrary to Manuel Pellegrini 4-1-4-1 that in the end worked wonders for the Chilean.

As the visitors opened up the scoreboard  on the 11’ minute by the Ukrainian Andriy Yarmolenko giving a reason for his manager to celebrate out loud his 65th birthday, still with a whole lot of game to play, the spirit the Irons had was impossible to beat.

However the buck did not stopped there as the man from Ukraine got his second goal in the 31’ minute when the combination of Mark Noble combination to Yarmolenko to put the score and the Irons in the driver’s seat with a 2-0 lead.

Still the clean sheet for Lukasz Fabianski got away when a well-placed Jonjoe Kenny got the local Toffees close with a goal on injury time on the 47 to put the scores at 2-1 going into halftime and with more to come from both sides.

Despite the goal lead and the game seeing an Eveton desperately looking for the equalizer at least, the Hammers top man Marko Arnatouvic caught by an opportune and well placed Pedro Obiang to score in the 61’ minute the go-ahead goal.

As the Hammers with the momentum down versus the Academy of Science coming labeled as the ultimate favorites and in the end these got the worst part and ending on the overall table in tenth place with six points.

Contrary to the Hammers, this win catapults them above the relegation spots into sixteenth place just shy of a point from Fulham, Brighton and Southampton as the Saints have a match to play on Monday.

In the end how sweet, it is to win your first match and now ready to another challenging match against league leaders Chelsea in another epic London Derby, unfortunately they come a underdogs despite the Hammers playing at home.
