The Wolves delivered their first win at home thanks to super Raul Jimenez

Wolverhampton 1, Burnley 0
Molineaux Stadium, Wolverhampton

The Wolves campaign is turning for the better as every match for Nuno Espiritu Santo and his side are slowly taking charge of their game as well the day of that first win at home came lavishly after an opportune play by Raul Jimenez.

Facing a tough but struggling Burnley at home, the outlook of this game was not to be a field day for the recently promoted Wolves, however these put on the accelerator and delivered a one of kind win over a troubled Claret squad.

For Sean Dyche coming to Molineaux Stadium looking for a notable if not valuable win tpo uplift his side spirits and all around levels of their lost confidence, after putting on a deplorable international run.

In the end for Dyche and company his aims were to put his Boys experience and net that slippery win that has been denied by his side in the course of this campaign, currently situated in the last spots in the table.

I mean in the relegation spots, things are not turning for the better in Turf Moor and for these Clarets, it’s time to put on a more optimist approach on the rest of this campaign if they are not to be involved in the end with Championship mode in their minds.

However, this match had all the elements in favor of the local Wolves that put on a show in front of their faithful with such dominance and putting in evidence a troublesome visiting squad looking to level its campaign.

From the get go the push and initiative stricken Wanderers started making their case offensively over the posts defended successfully by the visitor’s goalkeeper Joe Hart that succumbed to a well-placed Raul Jimenez.

The Mexican international is making a place in the Wolves squad, responding to the call of its manager that has been a strong supporter of this ald in the initial eleven since day one, and delivering in the clutch.

In this match both managers sent their best formations to try and counter their opposite’s game and looking forward the win, as manager Espiritu Santo put on a 3-4-2-1  and for Dyce with a more offensive prone 4-4-2.

The stage was set in a total sold out colossus of West Midlands in Wolverhampton to support their Boys and these did not disappointed all 30, 406 in attendance to a game of high emotions and skill from their home side.

Despite the win Wanderers manager Nuno Espiritu Santo   has to see why this match did not tuned out to be a goal rout after the number of intents or shoots attempted that numbered 30 in the end.

Still if we have to give credit for Burnley keeper Joe Hart being alert all afternoon long and stopped in hat could been a horrendous goal rout but in the end these succumbed to the push of an inspired Wolves initial eleven.
