Will someone stop the Blues Momentum?

The airs of championship pasts are returning to the colossus of Stamford Bridge, thanks to its new man at its helm, Don Antonio Conte.

So far, for the former Azzurri Boss in his first year, he is making a one tough and resilient squad in the Pensioners, so far riding high with a twelve game winning streak and with a momentum as big as the universe itself.

With the Italian making things happen in these parts of London Town, the Blues without seeing a loss and climbing atop the Premiership table with a comfortable, six-point lead.
The sky’s the limit for Chelsea Blues.

As several of Chelsea’s troubled players in last campaign, now are making a turn for the best in Eden Hazard, Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas on a full revival of their careers, alongside of a triumphant return, lost last campaign under Jose Mourinho.

The Boys are back and with a new twist of putting in display a one of a kind and more dynamic football, that is giving the Londoners a certain top rated status in all the confines of Premiership, with a unique label of unbeatable.

By seeing a new initial eleven looking very confident from start to finish in all of their matches, the Blues can overcome those 87 points they netted on the 2014-15 campaign then under the Portuguese at their helm.

Now with Antonio Conte the odds of finishing much higher are endless and possible.

The Italian Boss is one odd man to display and put in effect a very effective 3-4-3 formation, with a lone David Luiz, Cesar Azpilicueta and Captain Gary Cahill to become a shield to any of the opposing squads strikers and defending successfully the posts of Thibaout Cortouis.

Do not count out, Conte’s three men attack, that is putting to the whole of Premiership in a state of siege, if not panic from its threesome making all sorts of havoc towards the opposing squad’s posts.

Another major feat for the Blues is that they have enough talent to go around and despite the transfer market opening on Sunday, the possibilities of seeing a new face in these parts of London will be something for Conte to decide.

With a roster of promising and established players, no matter who is in the naughty list of suspended or injury, for Conte is all about the exposing of his players to the grand opportunity of being in the starting lineup as well these delivering.

Alongside of inciting a certain internal competition from his entire group to see who will seize the initial spot in the next match, despite the Blues absence from any European competition, for Conte will be a good way to prepare his squad.

The question arises if the Blues will test the waters of the winter market to reinforce some of its areas of need, despite Oscar leaving for the Chinese Premier; the need for more players is nothing that worries its Manager.

For now, this group will do and deliver the ultimate of shields in the Barclays Premier league Shield, if this bunch continues its mastery in EPL and remain unbeatable for the rest of this campaign.

There is no stopping the Chelsea Blues now and with a match against Stoke City again repeating at Stamford Bridge, the heat will be on for these intrepid chaps to continue their mastery in the league and setting up more records.

For now, the question arises in all football circles in the English Premier League, who will stop the Blues cold?

Leicester seeing red and ironically fighting for its permanency

Wow, whoever thought that last campaign sensation are no now becoming the pity in league circles after dropping another important match and now are fighting for their permanency in the ranks of Premiership.

Is something to share in Ripley’s unbelievably!

So far, for the defending champions this campaign has seen a sort of championship hangover as many squads go through after their stellar year or contrary, in the case of City their performances are not worthy of a championship club.

Playing in front of their faithful in a near sellout in King Power Stadium, the Foxes not even in their condition of locals could stop the push that lately has possessed the Academy of Science lads.

Still the way the Emperor Rainieri of a 4-4-2 formation sent with a couple of strikers to try a spark in its offensive attack sending Islam Slimani and Shinji Okazaki at its front to try to make Everton’s Keeper Joel Robles life impossible throughout the whole ninety minutes.

Unfortunate for the City squad, their offensive attack envisioned by the Emperor never took off.

As Leicester Boss did not foresee how the Toffees Boss Ronnie Koeman in his formation used for his initial eleven, his backfield became a bit lethal to his hosts plans that at the end the locals could decipher how to score against their guests.

The Dutchman sent a very complicated 3-4-2-1 formation with Romelu Lukaku as his sole striker to start havoc on the posts of Kasper Schmeichel.

For Rainieri time is becoming his worst enemy as the way he try to make some changes in his starting elven, once again became short of the one of a kind performances his squad gave last campaign and putting Ryad Mahrez in the bench to later come as a sub.

Once again his moves in his lineup puts in doubt the consistency of Claudio Rainieri to start a winning streak for his club and coming short and losing another important match as well three points that could uplifted his squad.

After that amazing win over Man City on December 10, the Foxes have not been able to win a match and only netted four points out fifteen in play, in what many thought this were to be easy matches, which did not happen.

With back-to-back matches at home, the Foxes hope for the better with a win over another struggling squad that lately is battling its demons and is making an effort of getting away from the abyss of relegation.

As West Ham comes to town on New Year’s Eve, maybe the Foxes can have its complete initial eleven and come inspired to close this year, on appositive note that can uplift their player’s confidence into the second half.

For the Foxes Boss, maybe in the upcoming transfers market he may try to reinforce its ranks with a player that is of the likes of N Golo Konte, missed a lot after this went to Chelsea, but in the case of the Leicester City chaps, these be considered complete.

A match that finished even in the first half, the second was all about the dominance of the Everton chaps that in the 51st minute Kevin Mirallas sent the whole of the Toffees section into frenzy.

As the match continue its course and the visitors exhibiting all the weakness of the local’s backfield, on injury time many saw an opportune and valuable play from the Toffees striker Romelu Lukaku in the 91st to seal the deal.

This win away for the Everton Boys as they inflicts a big blow to the City chaps and putting a dark cloud at King Power Stadium with the airs of relegation returning to haunt this squad after their impossible feat last campaign.

Will they stay or they will they go to the ranks of championship and is Rainieri out of options and lost his magic touch and is facing a mutiny, no one knows but Leicester City is in need of an all-around miracle to salvage their campaign.

The North Belfast Derby, Crues style

The Hachetmen showed off their might of champions and looking forward to another league shield with a fantastic foursome in Jordan Owens, Howard Beverland, Gavin Whyte and Declan Caddell.

These amazing lads gave their Crues an amazing Boxing Day win and not only that, but also all-around bragging rights in this edition of the Belfast Derby.

This win not only gives the Stephen Baxter Boys a solid seven point lead over cross town foe Linfield that drew in this match but a bust on their upcoming match against the Boys from Windsor Park on New Year’s Eve.

What a joy for the league leader at difficult to play Solitude Park, with a nice rout and exhibition of pure genuine Baxter style football he instituted to his initial elven, the win became very obvious.

The Crues not only put on a goal fest over the Reds at their home field leaving quiet through the whole match but also their keeper Sean O’ Neill who had a dandy of an afternoon under his arches without any hesitations or dangers that lured around him.

For now the Danske Bank table has the Crusaders sitting pretty with a seven point lead and a match next week on New Year’s eve on a reprise of the another version of the Belfast Derby.

This time Seaview will be the witness of a match between them and the Windsor Boys, the Linfield Blues looking in every way to net the win as well cut the Crues lead atop the overall table.

Still the is far from over and anything can happen from here to March when the Danske Premiership closes this edition and it can be anyone’s shield to this point.

As the league progresses and leaves behind this 2016, the aim of the Crusaders Boss Stephen Baxter is to continue with his squad the unbeatable drive and not surrender any points to anyone in the remaining matches.

Very well, maintain their level and impetus of excellence in order to achieve the unthinkable of netting a third shield in a consecutive way as well this time make it an impossible dream a reality of advancing into the knockout rounds in Champions League.

Something similar from their Republic of Ireland neighbors the Dundalk FC, the Hachetmen are on route to a third shield if they maintain their led comfortably as well they can make history.

The way this club showed off their might and overcome their foes defensive backfield exposing its flaws, was a feat like no other and gives this squad plenty of confidence ahead to their next week’s  match, considered important.

At the end, this squad is consolidating itself as one tough group of warriors looking forward to write history in both the League of Ireland and the upcoming elimination rounds of the UEFA Champions League.

A grand win for Stephen Baxter crew that uplifted his squad in the overall table with a comfortable lead in the overall table as well a notable and magnificent 4-0 win, considered a one of a kind gift for its faithful legion of followers.
