Brighton Hove and Albion aiming for a rewarding season

A new era in the helm at Falmer Stadium, as newcomer Graham Potter is looking forward to make an impact with the Seagulls with an impacting positive season.

As the Chris Hughes era is now a thing in the past, for manager Potter his aims are to overcome last season sorry state,  of this squad near brush with relegation and finishing in a deplorable seventeen place.

Still this side is looking forward to new horizons and a better finish with a spot among the top ten spots in the overall table, but the way every season in Premiership shapes out, the challenges will abound in the Gulls.

For Albion the needs for this upcoming season will a be a plenty, among his first order is to see of this team a more dynamic in its game and more consistency to see a contender.

Not that they can be among the favorites to win it all but at least the idea of to keep their permanency  among one of mission this season and close with a plus.

With a couple of domestic cup tournaments, the idea is to win one of those and earn an automatic berth in European competition, but realistically speaking is assuring a spot in Premiership will do for manager Potter.

However, the need to build a contender from scratch will not an easy job for the first year manager, looking at a club with a limited budget, the need to build this club will from its academy.

So far, in the season Albion has spent dearly in a couple of players to boost some of its most needed areas, being its attack, the arrival of Leandro Trossard from Genk a a mere 18 million pounds.

In addition of Taylor Richards from Manchester City with a 2.5 million pound cost and defender Matt Clarke from Portsmouth is among the novelties in Albion as Trossard and Richards for sure will boost the attack.

The way Trossard references from the Belgian league as a winger scoring 17 goals, is somehow what the Gulls need in their attack as well with Bruno retiring and Ben White of to Leeds.

The need of adding a couple of defensive backs will among the order of business for Albion before the market closes but will this club with their budget so limited, a loan of Reese James from Chelsea will do for now.

This club for sure with its newcomers for sure will surprise many but do not hold your breath to see them in the top spots or among the top ten, as another contested season coming, Albion will be fighting for its permanency.

A good run will mean a fourteenth place finish but a stellar one can come around tenth place will be the best finish this team can handle in the end.

Roy Hodgson will need a miracle to keep his Crystal Palace up

Roy Hodgson will not have a field day in this edition of the English Premier League, as slowly the Glaziers front office in need of cash, by selling notable players, the odds of a stay will be one in a million.

In spite of this year not seeing the league big guns spending frenzy, the Eagles are selling some of its notables like Aaron Ban-Wisaka to Manu and players of Wilfred Zaha on the radar of Arsenal and Everton.

With the right offer and monies offered to the Selhurst side, I doubt the temptation for its directives will not be long as an offer of 55  million for Zaha will not be taken for granted.

After a near brush with relegation but a turnaround that allowed them a finish in twelve spot, the Glaziers this season in spite of a slow market, the league as always will be one contested entity.

The arrival of Nottingham Forrest back up keeper to be behind Welsh international Wayne Hennessey and Swansea City forward Jordan Ayew somehow do not bring any solution to tis side needs.

A need of a creative forward like Zaha if he leaves who will fill his spot, a right back, a striker and posibly someone to fill the hole left by Ban- Wisaka will be among many challenges for Hodgson in the course of the season.

Needless to state the departures of experienced Jason Puncheon, Julian Speroni and Bakary Sakho, leaving deep holes in the Palace roster, in addition of midfielders and left backs and the list can go on baby!

However, there's plan B and maybe with the monies received from Wan- Bisaka and Zaha the Eagles can soar in the transfers market in a last minute dash to purchase a player or two to  come to play in South London.

Maybe, Roy Hodgson for sure can get a trick or two under his hat and do the unthinkable of giving some academy hopefuls the reins in the starting eleven, what he has to lose in the end?

As the club is embarked in a difficult quest in this upcoming season as their preseason the club is showing a brighter side with wins over Bristol City,  AFC Bournemouth, Cardiff City.

Crystal Palace with upcoming tune up games against AFC Wimbledon and Hertha Berlin before their league opener against Everton home in Selhurst Park on August 10.

The need to deliver and for manager Hodgson his experience will be imperative if he and his Eagles are to soar high in this season and see the light of another season in Premiership.

This will not be an easy challenge for the former England National team manager as my forecast for sure be  a fight for its survival and permanency, something I foresee as a tough.

Everton looking forward a finish among the top five

This season the Toffees are not spending like previous years, still they assuring quality instead of quantity, something that manager Marco Silva is looking for a breakthrough finish in the top spots.

Still, this side with the starting eleven its puts on the field, these should shine and not struggle like the past seasons, becoming a total disappointment for its loyal base of followers.

However, this season manager Marco Silva's side needs in various positions, still the man is not making this squad front office spend millions in players that can become a bust or simply not adapt to the Spaniard game plan.

So far, in the preseason the School of Science has posted some positive results that for manager Silva criterion for sure will shape the starting eleven and people he will count in the upcoming season.

The win over Monaco, draws with FC Sion and Wigan, a loos in penalties over Karionbanghi and a game pending against German side Werder Bremen before their league opener against Crystal Palace in Selhurst.
With the transfers market deadline approaches, Silva has his man Andre Gomes loan from Barcelona turning into a permanent move for 22 million pounds.

In addition of getting a backup for starting keeper Jordan Pickford in Jonas Lossl pick in a free transfer from relegated Huddersfield Town and Fabian Delph from Manchester City for 85 million pounds.

Somehow the Toffees have the players but the interest these have put on Palace Wilfred Zaha offering a mere 55 millions pounds and offering in a trade to send Cenc Tosun and James McCarthy to the Glaziers.

This is something the Blues directives final offer somehow is awaiting a final response before the deadline arrives and these get their men they sought for and that will boost their midfield attack.

For Marco Silva not only to overcome his side last year finish in eight place but a finish in the top five spots to seize a European spot as well looking forward to a trophy run, in both  Carabao or FA Cups.

My conclusion if this team sees an improvement in the overall table, maybe with a sixth place finish the team can aspire for a European spot in the qualifiers but to soon to call, as this side get their man.

Realistically speaking the Blues for sure will make a run to a top five finish but not win the league.

Believe me, If Zaha comes to Goodison Park and the man is free to display his game along with Andres Gomes, Richardlison and Fabian Delph and keeping a healthy defense backfield.

We may have a contender in the giant killer, in these Toffees.

Can the Hammers finally make a statement in this upcoming season

Maybe, with the way this side expenditures in the last years, this squad has made a number of investments in amazing players, however these in the past years have not made a total the impact desired by this London side.

For manager Manuel Pellegrini, this season the man is aware of not having an initial eleven like that Manchester City that win him the league back in the 2014-15 season.

However, in this season the Irons are looking forward to make a statement, not only in position but net many triumphs as well shields, will they be among the top five, a question mark hangs?

Still this side with the eleven it puts on the field, somehow is sad to see its struggles in the regular season, with a 10th place finish in the regular season, with the firepower this side, a pity its finishes.

For this season the Hammers are up and ready to rock the league.

The aim of manager Pellegrini is to start from zero and with the new additions he hopes of seeing a new era in London Stadium as well a new chapter inscribing this squad name in gold with a contender.

So far, the Academy of Football in spite of losing important players in the transfers market among one of them Marko Arnautovic going to China's emerging soccer league as well no more Andy Carroll and Javier Hernandez.

in this season the Irons have not made any exorbitant expenditures in new players as well the foursome arriving in these parts of London Town, are giving this side fan base something  positive to dream.

The arrivals of Sebastian Haller from Eintracht Frankfurt for 36 million pounds, has become the top player to take over the hole left by Arnatouvic will be a good investment, also Pablo Fornals the U-21 Spaniard.

In addition, of Roberto from Espanyol and David Martin from Millwall for free, still the odds of these lads making a impact in the big team will be among their utmost of goals.

Quality not quantity is what manager Pellegrini wants to make the impact his bosses desire of this side becoming the contender they always wanted since their return from Championship.

In the end, this club will make the impact they want, as a finish in the top ten will be somehow an achievement but a run in the top six can be possible and this side can obtain its goals.

As Pellegrini with a number of some players considered as challenging and now gone, the need to build a contender from scratch and now to see what is this team is made of, but results speak in the conclusion of this season.

Southampton looking forward an spectacular season

A team known to once have one of the top academies in the English Premier League, now is making a sorry state in every season, battling the demons of relegation.

For second year man Ralph Hasenhüttl, the challenges will abound for the Austrian looking forward to restore this club fighting attitude as well competition lost in the past.

However, for a manager Hasenhüttl to overcome last season mediocre run and 16th place finish, the need to step up the Saints game will be one of his utmost goals and looking forward for a more memorable finish.

As Hasenhüttl will be looking for a European spot and a finish among the top seven spots.

Too much to ask a side like Southampton, I doubt it as this side has been a belligerent one and tough to play against in the course of the season when they have their best game in the field.

Do not underestimate this squad as they can be seen as spoilers and can carry an upset over any of the league so- called giants, as they do not fall that easily and this 2019-20, they'll will be looking to restore their old glories.

In addition of building a contender the idea is to get this squad best of its academy and give these players a chance in the big squad, you never know what will come out these lads.

Still a squad not known for its big budget, but with the eye to identify young talent to come to Saint Mary's, by far the Saints have brought just three players in the transfers market.

The arrival of Che Addams from Birmingham City for 15 million, Danny Ings- Liverpool 20 million and Moussa Djenepo 14 million, the outlook of this club new owners not holding on their new talent.

As the transfers market is still open for four more weeks, will Southampton add a player or two, the question stays in the air but by far these threesome will do for Hasenhüttl new game plan.

A finish above the top ten squads is somehow a successful run for any of the sides considered as small but in the end can play one on one against any of the league giants, but a successful campaign will be a European spot and top seven finish.

Sheffield United looking to be on the plus in Premiership

The Blades are back in the big top of the English Premier League, ever since their relegation back in the 2006-07 season, going down to championship and later struggling in other tiers.

However, Sheffield United earned its promotion from EFL Championship with a second place finish behind champions Norwich City, these two netting their automatic pass to Premiership.

Still for manager Chris Wilder entering into his third year in charge of the Blades, the man so far has deliver silently and with pride after taking over at Bramall Lane and man is delivering with results.

Somehow the need to perform and form a contender in the blades is one of the utmost of goals for manager Wilder  not only to net important results but at least assure this squad permanency.

Playing in Premiership is not a walk in the park after the raucous celebrations the cub and its followers, as these are now a thing of the past and now focus in building a competitive side.

So far, the club in spite of its low key budgets, still has managed to bring a few players to Bramall Lane to build a team with identity and character.

That for sure can play one on one against these so called giants of this association.

As first things first, the making objective as mentioned earlier is the permanency and other to look for notable runs in this league internal competition in the EFL and FA Cups respectively.

To dream of a finish with a European spot is somehow an ideal this side manager and ts front office are desiring, but in the end the way this club functions in the course of the season.

A club not too quite in the transfers market with a few players already in their ranks and ready to rock the confines of Premiership, as this club is betting on youth to deliver them of many promising afternoons.

As the arrivals of new players of the likes of midfielders Luke Freeman- QPR and Ben Osborn- Nottingham Forrest, a couple of forwards in Callum Robinson- Preston and Lys Mousset- Bournemouth.

In addition of renewing the loan of goalkeeper Dean Henderson from Manchester United and adding a defender in experienced Phil Jagielka from Everton, tells you of this club seriousness in the upcoming season.

As the club interests in other players of the likes of Neil Maupay- Brentford, Ollie McBurnie- Swansea City and Tom Bayliss- Coventry on the club's radar, if these players deliver, we can expect many major accomplishments.

In the end as these players coming from Championship and minor tiers, the lack of big league experience will be elemental for this club to be among the top four but these can manage a finish in the top ten.

For sure many will see the fruits of Wilder's success, but still this club is about to start its new adventure in Premiership and see how will they fare against the contest of this association.

AFC Bournemouth aiming for Europe and much more

Eddie Howe is one man looking forward to a stellar season with his Cherries, after last season first half successful run, in the second half a sort of meltdown almost brought disaster for AFC.

However, for manager Howe since promoting AFC to the Premier League back in the 2015-16 season from Championship, these have been a fighting entity.

In spite of not having the big budgets like their competitors.

Still this team manages to put on exciting seasons for their faithful and escaping relegation in the end, this season promises to be another exciting and challenging in the confines of Dean Court Stadium.

Nothing big in the transfers market, with players to reinforce their defensive backfield in Jack Stacey from Luton Town and Lloyd Kelly from Bristol Town, so far these are the only players acquired by AFC.

Still the need to keep their top rated players healthy and in form to front in what seems another contested season in the ranks of Premiership as well looking forward to net one of the trophies in play in the EFL and FA Cups respectively.

In their preseason, the Cherries have a full agenda with West Brom, Brentford and its last matches before the season starts with SS Lazio and Lyon.

Then ready themselves to Premiership and brace against newcomers Sheffield United at home on August 10 and later or August 17 at Villa Park against Aston Villa.

For sure the aims and goals of manager Eddie Howe are to build a contender and not a sorry entity in the Cherries, but one this side excels is pride and determination and these for sure can be seen as spoilers.

As many considered manager Eddie Howe to be among the most promising of managers.

This season for sure he will re validate his credentials as that man that one day he can take over the English National Team or taking over the helm of a big club, who knows but the man has his magic.

In the end, AFC Bournemouth will be one serious contender, off curse not like Man City, Man United, Chelsea or Liverpool but for sure these will bee seen with respect and not a mockery.

A finish between seventh or ninth place will be considered a foremost season in Dean Court.

Roberto Lopes goal delivers for the Hoops agaisnt a tough Apollon

The Shamrock Rovers thanks to a late Roberto Lopes goal in the 58' minute of the second half, gave the Hoops a valuable win and with prospects of moving on the third round of the European qualifiers.

However, this a little to early to call, as the Hoops still have to defend their lead and with a goal counting against them, they have to put an extra effort, to deliver a magnificent match in Tsirion Stadium.

Still the Rovers going back to Apollon they have somehow a slight lead over the Blue and White that saw one of its players getting a red card in the 83 and missing the second leg.

For the Theos manager Sofronis Avgousti not counting with Argentinian Esteban Sachetti, he will have a tough time in forming his starting eleven, by looking to contain and rally back against the momentum of the Rovers.

With a sold out Tallagth Stadium, the visitors immediately went to work and taking advantage of the Hoops backfield these went up the scoreboard with a goal from Fotios Papoulis in the 6' minute.

Still the Hoops were not out of this contest as their comeback was eight minutes later with the equalizer from Lee Grace in the 14' minute and going to halftime both sides tied with a goal apiece.

In spite of Apollon multiple nationalities in its lineup and the firepower, still the Hoops showed off their might and confidence in the course of the whole game, keeping the visitors strikers at bay.

As the locals defensive backfield playing a wondrous game, as the outcome for the Hoops playing against a more seasoned and pedigree filled initial eleven, in the end these showed off their confidence paying off in the end.

As that red card to Sachetti after his strong play against Jack Byrne, his absence in the second leg for sure will mark the difference in this upcoming match, favorable for the Irish side in the end.

The Shamrock Rovers going to Tsirion Stadium in Cyprus with the confidence and momentum that can lead them to the next rounds and maintain their drive to the stages groups this coming August 1.

Leg two will expose the best game for Dundalk in Azerbaijan

Last night in Oriel Park, the Dundalk supporters saw how its Boys in the last minutes of the game, scored the equalizer by their scoring leader Patrick Hoban.

Opening the doors and hopes for a spoiler in Azerbaijani lands.

Going to Azersun Arena in Baku the Town will be playing against a hardened Atlilar looking at any cost to eliminate the Irish side and advanced to the third round of the Champions League qualifiers.

After a turnaround from an early goal the Lilywhites endured from Mahir Madatov early in the game with just four minutes, exposing a careless if not nervous defensive backfield that later recovered its game.

Still if we say this Qaradag side was to be a walk in the park, not in these stages!

As the mach became a very contested for both sides and in spite of the visitors lead going into intermission, the second half became what many foressen a disputes match in every minute played by both sides.

However, the Lilywhites determination and persistence in the end paid off, as in the 78' minute the whole of a sold out Oriel Park became a madhouse after their top gun striker Hoban gave his side hopes of a turnaround in Asian lands.

For Dundalk will be looking at any cost to show a ferrous defense against a fast and more technical prone Qarabag, looking to deliver the ultimate of upsets.

For manager Vinnie Perth seeing the harsh reality of this competition becoming a bit tough in every round and with the need to deliver if tey would like to advance to this competition third round.

As the Atlitar having the away goal in their advantage, anything can happen in the second leg as for sure both sides in the upcoming ninety minutes  for sure will show up a lot of efforts in order to assure a win.

Nothing s eay and for Dundalk overcoming the specter of a more physically filled side in Qaradag, in the end the moves and strategies put in by manager Perth will be the difference maker for the Lilywhites.

A draw with the feeling of a win was felt by the Town side and going to Baku on the Wednesday July 31, Hoban's equalizer assures them the hopes of making the ultimate of miracles.

Burnley looking forward a grand season

Forget last season as Sean Dyche the manager of Burnley is not looking forward another mediocre campaign that almost lead this side the relegation.

For one of the most promising of young managers, Dyche has kept the turf Moor side afloat in the ranks of Premiership since their promotion in the 2015-16 as EFL Champions.

You may say no looking back at these years in the ranks of Premiership the Clarets made a successful one in the 2017-18 that the team finished in seventh place.

That earn them a European spot in the 2018-19 edition of the UEFA Europa League qualifiers a feat not done since that 1972-73 season, in spite of the good run these were eliminated in the playoff by Greek side Olympiakos.

However, last season ws not a picture perfect one and battling the relegation demons in the end their sheer perseverance made them came ahead for a fifteen spot finish and return to teh big top for another season.

As the challenges for sure will multiply for Dyche and company in a league known for every season steeping up its competition and with three newly promoted sides looking at any cost their permanency.

This when Sean Dyche must perservere with his Clarets and deliver results at Turf Moor.

So far, in the transfers market nothing spectacular in big name players but with four in West Brom forward Jay Rodriguez, the need of another serious striker with Rodriguez to reinforce this club attack.

Other players in Erik Peters from Stoke, Joel Senior- Curzon Ashton and Ryan Cooney- Bury, have made the list for manger Dyche that for sure will find a spot in the team and compete for a starting spot.

As well the vision of manager Dyche for the club future in scholars Lewis Richards and goalkeeper Lewis Thomas to new contracts and with no doubt these can make it into the big team.

In the preseason, the Clarets have netted notable wins over sides like Fleetwood Town, Port Vale and Crewe Alexandra, by far the choice for manager Sean Dyche to complete his first roster will become a difficult one.

My conclusion this squad for sure would not offer us a fairy tale of a season but for sure as a small entity these can deliver us of some excitement and maybe make a dash among the top ten finishers.

Brendan Rodgers and his Foxes ready to primetime

Brendan Rodgers is looking forward  to bring a winning mentality back in King Power Stadium, a possibility he is looking for seeing this club back in league prime time.

However, headlines are somehow something that manager Rodgers is not looking forward but seeking a competitive side in the course of the season, especially setting an identity in this squad game and demand a winning attitude.

As that 2015-16 squad, is no longer with the club as many of those players no longer with the club, still for the man from the Northern part of the Emerald isle, challenges will be a plenty!

Still the man is known to build contenders in the squads he has manage in the past.

Like the miracle or fairy tale of that 2015-16 magical season under Rainieri when nobody gave a damm for this club and in the end how they silence many mouths, winning the season.

A first for this club history, as manager Rodgers goals will be to see this club return not only to prime time but also give it an identity in its game and personality and character in the field.

Once again in these parts of Leicestershire, many a surge in their Foxes and in the mind and opinion from a seasoned veteran Wes Morgan, stating about this club heading into the right direction.

So far, in the preseason, with wins over Scunthorpe United and Chelteham, and with Cambridge United next, the Foxes squad report looks promising and positive.

The arrival of Ayotze Perez from Newcastle United to these parts of Leicestershire is motivating for Rodgers along with Youri Tielemans from Monaco both players coming with an expensive price tag.

Furthermore for City, these are beting on youth with Ali Reghba from Bohemians, James Justin- Luton Town, Vontae Daley- Arsenal and George Hirst- OH Leuvens.

In spite of the club headliners of their main man in Harry Maguire being the target of possible negotiations between Leicester City and Manchester United interest for the defender, for manager Rodgers this is not a distraction.

One thing this club will not be winning the league shield or be among the top four in the season, but in the end the Foxes for sure can seize a spot in any European competition as well make a decorous run in the end.

Leicester City, maybe they will be among the top five, but a finish around sixth or seventh, can earn them a spot in the qualifying rounds of Europa League, under Rodgers anything can happen.
