A double for David McGoldrick delivered for a valuable Sheffield United win over a hapless Chelsea

David McGoldrick delivered his first Premiership goals with a double against the visiting Blues lookin

g a bit unfortunate in their last two games as well being within striking distance of Leicester United in their fight for third spot.

Still today amazing achievement by the Blades over powerhouse Chelsea somehow was a feat as the recently promoted blades are looking like a true contender and going against the odds, as this team is silencing many of its detractors.

After all, beating at Bramall Lane the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham and now Chelsea, somehow the Blades are looking like the killers for these London Town giants as we can say these lads are or real.

So far, for Sheffield United Monday is considered a vital day for their Champions League aspirations when they learn their faith after Man City ban is upheld these with a fifth-place finish will be an all-around achievement for manager Chris Wilder.

However, for David McGoldrick getting his first goals in league play but unfortunately not doing it in front of the Blades faithful as the stadium being empty due to the current pandemic but the feeling of delivering a win was immense.

Going back to the match and for its man of the Hour, for McGoldrick delivering in the clutch was the frosting on the cake as we can state, with a strong start the Blades were putting the Pensioners keeper Kepa in check.

As for manager Wilder sending a stellar eleven and delivering a defensive gem by stopping the likes of Pulisic, Willian, Abraham and Mount game cold in the end paid off for keeper Dean Henderson earning him a valuable clean sheet.

In contrast of his team also delivering a prolific run offensively with a trio of goals united with McGoldrick double and adding a cushion by Scotland’s Oliver McBurnie in the 33’ minute via an assist by Irishman Enda Stevens.

In the case of McGoldrick with his first goal in the 18’ in the first half after a shoot by Oliver McBurnie stopped by Kepa and in the rebound the man scoring his first Premier League goal and late in the end scoring the comfort goal in the 77’ to seal the win to end his 27 game scoring drought.

The Foxes win keeps them a point ahead in third place over the Blues

Leicester City 3- Crystal Palace 0

The Foxes delivered a valuable win against visiting Crystal Palace today at King Power Stadium, with a double from Jamie Vardy scoring his 100 and 101 goals in the Premier League and holding to a clean sheet.

For Brendan Rodgers, this win meant a lot and still seeing his side keep a one-point lead over the Chelsea Blues that came victorious too and putting pressure on the North Ireland man side for third spot.

Still, this match was to belong to Jamie Vardy, the Foxes the main marksman, after a scoreless first half and despite the efforts of City after James Justin seeing a ball hitting the crossbar that would give the locals and early lead.

Despite the dominance by Leicester City in the first half, these went scoreless into halftime.
The Foxes were to decide this one and with just a few minutes into the second half, it is when the locals with Kelechi Ieanacho got in the scoreboard when he tapped a Youri Tielemans pass for the game first goal in the 49’.

However, this was to be Jamie’s Vardy day after a couple of failed efforts, opportunity knocked in the 77’ minute, and after Vardy previously had a missed opportunity in what looked an easy play, somehow the tables turn in his favor when substitute Harvey Barnes pass for his 100th goal.

As the score showed a clear lead and win for the Foxes, these never quit in their efforts to seal this one as the Foxes defense came through the pressure put on by the Glaziers, but it was for keeper Peter Schmeichel time to rise to the occasion.

After six minutes passed by its was time for the man of the game to put his seal nd reach another milestone in his career with a double and with hi 101 goals of his Premiership career when the combination of Harvey Barnes and Jamie Vardy deliver.

With a hat trick, the Vardy deliver the game-winner and cushion goal for Leicester City that along with a clean sheet, breaking a winless three game streak as well maintains a one-point lead over the Chelsea Blues.

An upset in London Stadium uplifting the Hammers hopes for their salvation

In today’s match considered vital for both sides in today’s London Derby, the Hammers got the better part thanks to a late score in the 89th minute by substitute Andriy Yarmolenko and leaving the Blues astounded.

With one of Premiership most contested of Derbies, for West Ham this win, not only these seize three valuable points but as well spells relief and uplifts their spirits in the remaining games looking ahead for their salvation.

Somehow this win spelled relief for manager David Moyes and proving his wisdom of the game by making an effective move that in the end proved valuable for his team in the end.

As this win gives the Irons a glimpse of a light in the end of the tunnel, with the way these played today and with the attitude in the remainder of the season, maybe these can stay put in the ranks of Premiership.

In today’s game, the visiting Blues came determined for the win and with a 4-3-3 formation sent by Frank Lampard with Christian Pulisic and Willian in the outside accompanying Tammy Abraham in the middle to try and get some fireworks offensively.

Contrary to David Moyes 4-3-2-1 sending a lone Michail Antonio in the frontal attack but flanked by Mario Lanzini in the middle, Pablo Fornals in the left and Jarrod Bowen in the right, the man from Scotland was looking for a counter in his attack.

Still in this edition of the London Derby the only thing that both sides were looking for were points, but as expected for a team that has an anemic record of possession since the arrival of Moyes with just 36% of control.

This match immediate began in favor and dominance for Chelsea, creating several opportunities earlier and coming short of their objective, until the 33 when Hammers Souchek's goal was disallowed by VAR.

However, this did not stop both teams as in the 42’ when Issa Diop committed a foul over Pulicic and Willian converted to give the Blues the lead but not until the end of the half when Tomas Soucek goal was allowed.

Going into the end of the first half both sides tied a goal apiece, the remainder of the game delivered another goal by Michail Antonio in the 51’ to give the Hammers the lead but later in the 72’ Willian delivered his second goal an equalizing the match.

A win with the essence of an upset to the visiting Blues and denying them the chance to move up to the third spot after Leicester City loss to Everton and for West Ham three golden points placing them in 16th place.
