With one of Premiership most contested of Derbies, for
West Ham this win, not only these seize three valuable points but as well
spells relief and uplifts their spirits in the remaining games looking ahead
for their salvation.
Somehow this win spelled relief for manager David Moyes
and proving his wisdom of the game by making an effective move that in the end
proved valuable for his team in the end.
In today’s game, the visiting Blues came determined for
the win and with a 4-3-3 formation sent by Frank Lampard with Christian Pulisic
and Willian in the outside accompanying Tammy Abraham in the middle to try and
get some fireworks offensively.
Still in this edition of the London Derby the only thing
that both sides were looking for were points, but as expected for a team that
has an anemic record of possession since the arrival of Moyes with just 36% of
control.
This match immediate began in favor and dominance for
Chelsea, creating several opportunities earlier and coming short of their
objective, until the 33 when Hammers Souchek's goal was disallowed by VAR.
Going into the end of the first half both sides tied a
goal apiece, the remainder of the game delivered another goal by Michail
Antonio in the 51’ to give the Hammers the lead but later in the 72’ Willian
delivered his second goal an equalizing the match.
A win with the essence of an upset to the visiting Blues
and denying them the chance to move up to the third spot after Leicester City loss
to Everton and for West Ham three golden points placing them in 16th
place.
