Roy Hodgson will need a miracle to keep his Crystal Palace up

Roy Hodgson will not have a field day in this edition of the English Premier League, as slowly the Glaziers front office in need of cash, by selling notable players, the odds of a stay will be one in a million.

In spite of this year not seeing the league big guns spending frenzy, the Eagles are selling some of its notables like Aaron Ban-Wisaka to Manu and players of Wilfred Zaha on the radar of Arsenal and Everton.

With the right offer and monies offered to the Selhurst side, I doubt the temptation for its directives will not be long as an offer of 55  million for Zaha will not be taken for granted.

After a near brush with relegation but a turnaround that allowed them a finish in twelve spot, the Glaziers this season in spite of a slow market, the league as always will be one contested entity.

The arrival of Nottingham Forrest back up keeper to be behind Welsh international Wayne Hennessey and Swansea City forward Jordan Ayew somehow do not bring any solution to tis side needs.

A need of a creative forward like Zaha if he leaves who will fill his spot, a right back, a striker and posibly someone to fill the hole left by Ban- Wisaka will be among many challenges for Hodgson in the course of the season.

Needless to state the departures of experienced Jason Puncheon, Julian Speroni and Bakary Sakho, leaving deep holes in the Palace roster, in addition of midfielders and left backs and the list can go on baby!

However, there's plan B and maybe with the monies received from Wan- Bisaka and Zaha the Eagles can soar in the transfers market in a last minute dash to purchase a player or two to  come to play in South London.

Maybe, Roy Hodgson for sure can get a trick or two under his hat and do the unthinkable of giving some academy hopefuls the reins in the starting eleven, what he has to lose in the end?

As the club is embarked in a difficult quest in this upcoming season as their preseason the club is showing a brighter side with wins over Bristol City,  AFC Bournemouth, Cardiff City.

Crystal Palace with upcoming tune up games against AFC Wimbledon and Hertha Berlin before their league opener against Everton home in Selhurst Park on August 10.

The need to deliver and for manager Hodgson his experience will be imperative if he and his Eagles are to soar high in this season and see the light of another season in Premiership.

This will not be an easy challenge for the former England National team manager as my forecast for sure be  a fight for its survival and permanency, something I foresee as a tough.
