The North Belfast Derby, Crues style

The Hachetmen showed off their might of champions and looking forward to another league shield with a fantastic foursome in Jordan Owens, Howard Beverland, Gavin Whyte and Declan Caddell.

These amazing lads gave their Crues an amazing Boxing Day win and not only that, but also all-around bragging rights in this edition of the Belfast Derby.

This win not only gives the Stephen Baxter Boys a solid seven point lead over cross town foe Linfield that drew in this match but a bust on their upcoming match against the Boys from Windsor Park on New Year’s Eve.

What a joy for the league leader at difficult to play Solitude Park, with a nice rout and exhibition of pure genuine Baxter style football he instituted to his initial elven, the win became very obvious.

The Crues not only put on a goal fest over the Reds at their home field leaving quiet through the whole match but also their keeper Sean O’ Neill who had a dandy of an afternoon under his arches without any hesitations or dangers that lured around him.

For now the Danske Bank table has the Crusaders sitting pretty with a seven point lead and a match next week on New Year’s eve on a reprise of the another version of the Belfast Derby.

This time Seaview will be the witness of a match between them and the Windsor Boys, the Linfield Blues looking in every way to net the win as well cut the Crues lead atop the overall table.

Still the is far from over and anything can happen from here to March when the Danske Premiership closes this edition and it can be anyone’s shield to this point.

As the league progresses and leaves behind this 2016, the aim of the Crusaders Boss Stephen Baxter is to continue with his squad the unbeatable drive and not surrender any points to anyone in the remaining matches.

Very well, maintain their level and impetus of excellence in order to achieve the unthinkable of netting a third shield in a consecutive way as well this time make it an impossible dream a reality of advancing into the knockout rounds in Champions League.

Something similar from their Republic of Ireland neighbors the Dundalk FC, the Hachetmen are on route to a third shield if they maintain their led comfortably as well they can make history.

The way this club showed off their might and overcome their foes defensive backfield exposing its flaws, was a feat like no other and gives this squad plenty of confidence ahead to their next week’s  match, considered important.

At the end, this squad is consolidating itself as one tough group of warriors looking forward to write history in both the League of Ireland and the upcoming elimination rounds of the UEFA Champions League.

A grand win for Stephen Baxter crew that uplifted his squad in the overall table with a comfortable lead in the overall table as well a notable and magnificent 4-0 win, considered a one of a kind gift for its faithful legion of followers.
