A tight race in North Ireland’s Premiership

The heat is on, in North Ireland Premiership, with a couple of it Belfast based squads, the Linfield Blues and the two time defending league champions, Crusaders FC.

With a slim, five point’s advantage and twelve matches left in the campaign, this league can be for anyone that can display a sort of audacious and dynamic football that can net them the grand prize of the league shield.

So far in first place Stephen Baxter Crusaders FC, is seeing how their lead atop the league table has shrink within their cross-town rivals the Linfield Blues making a push and trying to end their title famine with a bang.

Suddenly the NIPL is becoming a much-contested entity between two of its squads.
For one, the Crusaders FC squad is currently seating pretty in first place and in their last three matches, these have added points in their favor with a draw and a couple of notable wins.

The last one comes from a 3-1 rout over Glenavon at Seaview and those three points of gold stretched their lead over the Blues in the general table with a next match considered a bit difficult in the Belfast Derby against Cliftonville.

As for the Linfield Blues will host Glentoran at Windsor Park, looking forward to a positive result against the Glens, these not doing so well in the overall table, still for the Blues Manager David Healy will be a tough outing.

After their league compromises over, these two squads will meet on the first week of January 24, to play the final of the Antrim Shield on a match scheduled at Seaview to the discontent of the Blues directives.

Still the momentum and confidence rides high in the Crues 11 that in every match these take it as an all-around challenge and with the sole purpose of making things happen, in order to deliver another trophy and successful campaign to the halls at Seaview.

The only inconvenience call the Linfield Blues and these along their Boss David Healy, the heat is on and with a lot of anticipation, and he is putting his squad into overdrive to see if they can finally net a shield to its halls in Windsor.

One questions arises from all of this, of who will it be and persist until its end, to obtain and deliver not only the shield but also all of the bragging rights in all of Belfast as the top squad.

Still this cup match will be a sort of second round after on the 31st on New Year’s Eve will see who is who in the Danske Bank Premiership, when the Crusaders will host the Linfield squad in Seaview, here will ignite these two clubs rivalry.

At the end, the remaining matches of the Northern Ireland Premiership League, will be seen very closely as with these two Belfast giants, the name of the game is nonstop for these two gladiators looking for the ultimate of league glories.

Come March time, we will have a definitive champion, despite the Hachetmen lead by five points over the Blues, nothing assured for the Crusaders and they are aware of their competition ahead from their cross-town neighbors looking forward to unseat them.

It is not over until it is over and by that time will see a repeating or new champion in the North Ireland Premier League.
