Will the Saints March under Koeman’s Tune

I don’t see why not! After all Ronald Koeman and former Saints Manager Mauricio Pochettino have something in common, a vision for the future!

Indeed, after being Manager with Dutch side Feyenoord, Ronnie Koeman really made an impact in the Netherlands League, finishing a strong third place with a young squad.

A squad composed mainly from its club academy, similar to the project of former Argentinian Boss Mauricio Pochettino, he implemented successfully in St. Mary’s under his tenure.

That was then and now is the present and future, of a squad that has left an everlasting impression in Premiership; were almost caressed the European positions and finished a strong eight place.

Still the exodus of Southampton academy greats to other clubs, didn’t devastate its spirits, but rebuilt it with a new group of players that can deliver for this club.

The talented arrival of Dusan Tadic from Twente, Graziano Pelle from Feyenoord, Ryan Bertrand Chelsea, Saphir Taider from Inter Milan, Fraser Foster Celtic, Shane Long Hull City and Florin Gardos Steaua Bucharest.

As Manager Koeman saw the departure of key players to other entities, still his vision got a hold of a few good players that will deliver when expected.

This squad looks somehow ready to confront a tough and difficult campaign, filled with a lot of challenges and competitiveness from its other squads.

Fighting again for show and some shields, will be the Saints new skipper mission, as well continue its success and adamant attitude of Premiership permanence.

Something that it doesn’t look a bit easy but not difficult- still challenging in getting some needed shields for Saint Mary’s halls.

A strong point too is the academy prodigies surged during the Andean tenure in James Ward- Prowse and Harrison Reed, having another good campaign, which these two can really attract many offers from many clubs in Premiership.

With an academy to be proud of, newly appointed Southampton Manager Koeman- will be a one of his duties to make this club a one self-sufficient entity in player development and the sole dependence of its young talent.

Overall the mood in Saint Mary’s is one positive one as well filled with a lot optimist ahead of this edition of the English Premier, as many of its diehard followers expecting another one of a kind performance, Let’s go Saints!
