Another feat for Sigi
Schmidt, Seattle Sounders man at the helm, after his squad, just clinched the
first position in the league postseason.
Along of standing
firm in the Western Division, solidly in the top and looking somehow unstoppable
in the upcoming league playoffs, making them a favorite to take it all.
Indeed, after being
so close in the past, this campaign certainly looks like the Emerald City squad
is determined to win it all and maybe deliver the coveted and desired Major
League Soccer Shield.
The Rave Greens are
ready for everything, as their next compromise going in the US Open Cup over a
riled up Philadelphia Union, doesn’t look a bit easy- still for the Sounders being
in this competition isn’t a first for them.
Still by being no
strangers for this competition, after winning three shields and going possibly
for a fourth one, that at the end will be welcomed in its halls at Century Link
Field.
Very well running
with a league perfect points percentage and seven ahead of its closest
competitor in the Supporter Shield race, the Seattle squad is looking poised to
win it too!
Although the playoff system
in MLS is a little bit complicated and competed; as well tiring for the participating
squads- many experts see this edition in the Emerald City Bhoys like one top of
the line contenders and overall winners.
For Seattle’s top
Boss, his philosophy is taking it easy and one step at a time, as he wouldn’t want
to take any chances that will spoil his plans and his players focus.
His chaps are playing
a one of a kind and stellar football, that’s making all sort of headlines in
every field of Major League Soccer, with it’s out of this world football.
Hopefully this is it!
As always the league title being so elusive, the Seattle chaps keeping healthy
and no sideline injuries, in any of its top guns, maybe this campaign the Sound
will have something to celebrate with a couple of winners.
Let’s not get ahead
and wait for results and patience being a virtue for the Sounders skipper,
making him one another successful boss in Major League Soccer.
If his wishes come
into reality, this will be a one campaign for the books and the Sounders
history of many successes, after this entire club has set many milestones.
Being the first to break
attendances records in all of MLS, great and top of the line supporter base-
that many will say, why not reward them with a treble of a campaign, they
deserve it!
