Indeed they are, as the
Montreal Boss Frank Klopas is ready alongside his chaps to make all of their
best and advance as the first Canadian Squad to a Concachampions final.
History is in the
making in Montreal and its Impacting Gars, looking to add another trophy to its
halls in Saputo Stadium.
After eliminating
Mexican side and not so easy in Pachuca Tuzos, the Le Gars are suddenly pumped
up and ready to face another rival in Costa Rican Side Liga Deportiva
Alajuelense.
Considered a
powerhouse in this Confederation, very well a sort of headache for Mexican squad’s
being as always the dominant ones, for the Impact this match will be one handful.
Still they are ready
and determined to continue their dream and maybe with a defiant determination
of no stopping us now, we can have another MLS squad playing a final.
Something not to commons
when American squad’s going to hostile territory, especially Mexico or Central
America- MLS squads have a sort of difficulty or tough time deciphering its
foes game and become very anemic playing in front of those crowds not known for
their hospitality!
As for the Impact
being the home team for the opener will one serious feat if they win with style
as well not concede any goal to its guests, coming with the label as an all-around
favorite.
For the Costa Rican
side Alajuelense will be a second try to make its second trip in a consecutive
way into these competition finals, as their previous one became a heart-breaker
after losing to Mexican Side Toluca FC.
If the Montreal
Impact wins this stage and goes into the final will be the fifth squad from
Major League Soccer to make it into the championship match and being DC united
in 1998 and LA Galaxy in 2000 as the only American side winners.
Since then no other MLS
squad has been able to pass into the finals rounds being Real Salt Lake the
last American squad to make into the finals after beating Costa Rican Side
Saprissa and then losing to Mexican side Monterrey.
Montreal Impact can
join the likes of Houston Dynamo, LA Galaxy, DC United, Kansas City Wizards,
Chicago Fire and Toronto FC as the American side squad’s that have made history
and the city of Mary residents can add their name to this list.
In an every glorious
way, still they need to play their first match at Olympique Stadium were the so
far the club directive has announced more than 30,000 tickets have been sold to
and counting on the eve of this important match.
Considered one of the
most important for the Montreal Impact since their inception to Major League
Soccer, their Manager is ready to make some important moves into his initial
eleven that has suffered a couple of its players being sidelined with injuries.
It won’t be a problem
for Manager Klopas after all his squad is one serious contender and despite
their slow start in tis 2015 edition of MLS, beware MLS squad’s, when this squad’s
compromises are over.
His mentality and
focus will be neutralizing a hardened Alajuelense squad for now as well net a
nice score and blank their rival at home and away, difficult but not
impossible, this club is by far posed for higher things, among one of them their
date with history.
