Finn Harps looking for a better finish and content in the top spots

Ollie Horgan has signed a two-year extension with Finn Harps, very well the man is looking forward to a prolific and impacting season with his Blue and White Army in this upcoming 2020 season.

Last season despite the struggles the team managed to stay afloat in the Premier Division and winning the promotion playoff against Drogheda United to see the day along his Harps in the Republic of Ireland top tier.

As the followers of the Finndus Crisp Pancakes at Ballybofey are anxiously waiting for the start of another exciting season as well see a contender in the field of its White and Blue Army, ready to take the SSE by storm.

So far, the club has made once again a few moves considered as valuable, in its roster, looking ready and with the return of the majority of its 2019 base, this time certainly make an impact in another contested edition in the League of Ireland.

With players from last season as defenders Mark Russell and Sam Todd, midfielders Ruari Harkin, Mark Coyle, Tony McNamee, Mark Timlin, Mark McGinley and goalkeeper Gareth Harkin, and the promotion of academy U-19 Jamie Brown.

The club has solidified its base and with the incorporation of new players, hopefully, the club can take a role in the LOI to start a decent run around the top spots and once again be sentenced to fight for its survival in the relegation spots.

The arrival of defender Dave Webster (St. Pats), midfielder Ryan Connolly (Galway United), Karl O’ Sullivan (Limerick FC), midfielder Shane McEleney (Larne FC) and midfielder Adrian Delap on loan from (Derry City).

For manager Horgan, his idea of getting a number of midfielders to reinforce this strategic area of the field is to give his team a new dimension in its game with more creativity and dynamic in its offensive game as well build up its defensive game.

The idea is to conform a contender with the new arrivals and the returning players in building a contender and maybe create an era of winning in these parts of Donegal, still this team will not contend for the title but a finish in the middle of the table will do!
