The Villains spelling their salvation in wins


For Aston Villa is suddenly playing one amazing game of football, with today’s win over revived Watford, the Villains returned the favor these endured back with a 3-0 loss on December 28.

Still, the long road to salvation is paved with a lot of obstacles and despite the competition and next week match against troubled Bournemouth, the odds are not favorable but challenging in coming out with a positive result. 

So far, the Villains have managed in five games after losing two to manage two wins and a draw to uplift them out of relegation spots and with two points clear of Bournemouth who they play on February 1 on the road.

Suddenly, the recently promoted Villains had their share of struggles and being on the bottom three spots that teams earn their relegation, suddenly with having a fight Villa side looking forward to seeing another season in the ranks of Premiership. 

A momentum-stricken Watford under Nigel Pearson, the Hornets were on a positive streak and looking to see a continuance, today these saw an inspired home side coming from behind and netting an important win at home. 

As the visitors were the first ones to open up the scoreboard in the 38th minute thanks to a close-range header by the Orn's top scorer Troy Deeney to put the Watford side up on the board and going into halftime with the lead. 

In the second half, the dominance of the Hornets was visible and their confidences growing as every minute passed by its when disaster hit them when Villa substitute Douglas Luiz equalized in the 68th minute via a rebound. 

With the score tied as both sides came near each other goals, the persistence put on the locals honoring their moniker of Lions paid off on injury time when Tyrone Mings scored the winner in a dramatic fashion. 

When Ezri Konsa Nagoyo put a fierce shot and found Mings to net the game-winner in the end and putting in the safety zone the likes of Aston Villa and sending the Hornets back to the bottom three in the nineteenth place.
