I mean many groups of
people interested in the game, substituting football, basketball, hockey and
baseball for the likes of International and Major League Soccer.
Wow, the fever of
this game is really catching on and gaining in our traditional American
pastimes, this in past due to its worldwide popularity and excitement in the
field- very well its level of competition in it.

That started
awakening some interest; but the attendance numbers were not sufficient in some
entities as well the lack of soccer prone stadiums, it was one reason of not
making it, as an all-around success.

I mean when the
Pacific Northwest made its presence, is when soccer became alive in America, as
well setting many standards and all around statement in the stands by its
vociferous followers.

It’s when hell broke loose!
One city and with its top of the line fans, starting a whole revolution in its
stands, very well setting up a model for their loyalty and unmeasured support
to its team- regardless of its results in the field and position in the overall
table.

Since the Timbers
days in the Pacific League, these unique group origins are traced to the stands
of the 107ist, with a couple of siblings being the responsible for this
wonderful display of support for a squad that has come a long way!

Not even in the big
cities that many thought that its fans were going to be involved as vocal
supporters, that didn’t happen until the Pacific Northwest folks turned things
around in Major League Soccer.

That makes this North
End section of Providence Park a Wonderland for many soccer enthusiasts and
newcomers to the beautiful game, thanks in whole by its Timbers Green Army.

Keep it up Rose City
and continue to be the sunshine in the stands of Providence and other Parks you
visit and continue with your unmeasured support, till your die for your beloved
Portland Timbers, hail Timbers Green Army!
