An Aspiring DC United’s Seeking Old Glories of Campaign’s Past!

The Capitol Hill boys are up in arms and ready to make an all-around statement in this upcoming 2015 campaign as well return to its old glory days.

For MLS Manager of the Year Ben Olsen going into his fourth year as the DC United Boss, we can credit his perseverance after returning the DCU to its rightful place- in the Eastern Conference and winning it with style.

Their unfortunate sidetrack in the postseason was with a determined and streaked New York Red Bulls who eliminated them from semifinals and stop them cold in their quest to play in the league final once again.

Being that in the past and now focusing on a new campaign and new challenges ahead in the Eastern Conference, DCU is up in arms and ready to front a new league and conference format with its two new squads.

New faces and new hopes are up ahead for the Black and Red that is seeing its last days of play at RFK Stadium a place they called home since their inception.

Nothing better that its own venue that will highlight this so called Pioneers of Major League Soccer and considered one of the most successful for the number of league shields won.

As Buzzard Point a site were the DC United boys will call home in 2017 and with a beautiful Stadium that will have a seating capacity of 20,000 plus fans.

DC United will kick off this campaign on a higher note and new perspectives to deliver more shields to its new venue halls alongside try to make a run in the always contested CONCACHAMPIONS tournament this 2015!

I mean trophies and honor’s galore for this squad and always being the first to make an all-around feat in league circles, after being the only American squad to win the coveted CONCACAF Champions League in 1998.

And with the majority of its previous campaign squad returning and new faces in the roster in the likes of Markus Halsti from Sweden top tier Malmo, Micheal Farfan of Mexican side Cruz Azul, Andrew Driver from Houston Dynamo and former Crew Jairo Arrieta.

These four will indeed contribute to the Capitol Hill gang in their quest of redemption and trying to contribute as much as possible to make this squad one entity no to mess with!

So far with an excellent campaign and a shield won in the ATX Pro Challenge, this squad and its Manager Ben Olsen are ready to confront many challenges that a contested Major League Soccer will send their way.

Twenty and counting is what the Black and Red has earned its appellation of  league pioneers and considered one of its utmost representatives of American soccer in the club category, DCU is up and ready.
