It’s the tale of one
of the O’Neill’s, looking to go against the odds and all the adversity his squad
is going through, in this edition of the Euro qualifiers, as many see the Greens
going against their probabilities of an awakening.
Many pessimists made their
all-around stand of how the Boys in Green are on the verge of failing to make it
into the next rounds of this important tourney, due to his squad sudden carelessness
and poor playing.
Facing a possible easy
squad in the Gibraltar initial eleven, that didn’t assure the Green Army a win
as many state that there’s no such thing than an easy foe.
In today’s match the
Green Army really stepped up and made a possible miraculous run for a possible spot
to be salvaged, with still three matches pending against a revived Georgia and both
hardened Germany and Poland.
Suddenly the Greens
spirits are riding high in what many saw a humiliating rout of a modest
Gibraltar National squad that at time made a stand and gave the Irish goalie a
few close moments that only were a call of precaution.
An initial eleven filled
with lots of undisputed motivation and determination to take a stand and score
high in tis and their upcoming matches if they want to make a run for the next
rounds of Euro.
With an inspired American
LA Galaxy striker in Robbie Keane who got the double and scores from Cyrus
Christie and closing the count with a late score from Jeff Hendricks, the Boys
in Green really showed up to play and showed it with lots of defiance.
I mean with a defiant
outlook that the initial eleven displayed by the Republic of Ireland squad in this
4-0 rout, giving them a certain optimism ahead in their utmost and difficult
task ahead their compromises were many see their destines in play.
Today’s win assures
for the Republic of Ireland a third spot with twelve points and a match pending
at home against a hardened suddenly Republic of Georgia who’s playing a sort of
spoiler role after defeating Scotland.
Another win will make
a sort of back to back ones that for sure will be a valuable shoot in the arm
for the Boys of Martin O’ Neill seeking at every cost their pass with style as
well giving them a certain positive attitude against the top squads in Group D.
Playing the German
National Team at home in Aviva Stadium on October 8th and closing
with another heavy set rival in the Poland National Team as a visiting entity
at Narowodon Stadion in Warsaw on the 11th of October.
For now the Green Army
will have to focus on their upcoming match that luckily will be played at home,
where the Republic of Ireland lads will go with everything to make a stand and
win in what many have labeled it as an important match.
Everything goes for the
North Irish man at the helm in Martin O’ Neill, who will play his best cards in
hopes of netting another important result and a positive one in his quest of
facing more positively his last matches and with a lot of courage.
Anything can happen
as previously stated, that there’s no such thing than an easy foe and the Boys
in Green can play a one on one against the Germans and Polish alike, at the end
this squad will remain defiant till the end!
