Indeed they are, as suddenly
this squad that recently went into a losing skid and had poor performances
equaling a grave losing streak, now is looking like its old self and aspiring
once again to make another strong stand in all of MLS!
That poorly played
games, are in the past and for now the Rave Greens Boss Sigi Schmidt, its time
of seeing his aspirations set into another league postseason and possibly this is
their time in reaching the league final.
After seeing their
all campaign efforts going in vain after always being left in the final of the
Western Conference, one that has been denied to the Emerald City squad since
their inception in league play.
The airs of winning
are back in Century Link Stadium, when the Sounders back to back wins at home
in the Cascadia Derby over their I-5 rivals the Portland Timbers and one week
later they repeated the dose to a hardened Toronto squad.
Since the return of
Oba Martins to the lineup and in today’s match the return of Clint Dempsey, the
Seattle lads are looking like their old selves once again and indeed they are
the heavy favorites to repeat as the Western Conference finalists.
Suddenly we have a
possible final to be played between the Galaxy and the Sounders that will be an
attractive ticket in this edition of Major League Soccer as both squads will be
coming up with much leveled arsenals.
The win is a revival
back at Century Link Stadium, with just seven matches left in the regular
schedule, the Sounders have in their sights a couple of not so easy matches with
a visit to BC Place and the week after playing a hot Vancouver Whitecaps squad.
As the Canadians are playing
one awesome football and touted as heavy favorites to win it all is everything
goes in place, the Rave Greens really will have their hands full in those two
matches were the Cascadia Cup winner will emerge proudly.
Very well netting
those bragging rights in this regions rivalry between them and their
southernmost foes in the Portland Timbers- the Sounders will have to focus on tear
upcoming matches’ with the LA Galaxy, SKC, Dynamo and Real Salt Lake.
With their initial eleven
almost in its 100%, maybe we can see a new Rave Greens squad’s making like
always an all-around statement in superior and top notch football in league
play and assure themselves a postseason spot as well bettered their results in their
CONCACAF compromises.
At the end the Sounders
are back and playing good football and with an upcoming match at Avaya Stadium against
a newly revamped San Jose Quakes, the Emerald City Boys are up in arms.
For Manager Sigi
Schmidt its back to business and assembling a contender in the last run of the campaign,
as well recover that lost ground during their skid they recently experienced,
but these Rave Greens will become one hardened and tough squad to beat!
