This 2018 can be the Red Bulls year

With many maybes, the New York Red Bulls are preparing for a contested 2018 in league and international play. As manager, Jesse Marsch is aiming for the league shield as well looking forward to a successful CONCACHAMPOINS League run.

However, the aim of manager Marsch is to win one of the most elusive of trophies, his Red Bulls never have won ever since their inception in the league as the pioneers, as then MetroStars. The MLS Shield has been one of those trophies the Red Bulls are missing in their trophy cases.

With a couple of Supporters Shield, and a couple of US Open Cup and a MLS Final runners up to account for, this 2018 is now or never in the eyes and mind of its manager to make it to the grand finale.

As this 2018 welcoming a new member to in the LAFC but a squad to make the Western Conference its new home, the Red Bulls still will have a serious competition with clubs of the likes of NYCFC, Toronto FC, Columbus, Chicago and Montreal to name a few.

After two Canadian squads have eliminated these in back to back fashion in the postseason, this time is serious business and a big deal to make it all the way to the top and earn their conference shield as its champions.

So far, with an important away compromise in the CCL against Honduras side CD Olimpia, the Red Bulls sweet sixteen start will be meet by a tough and challenging away match in a place that its fans can be a bit argumentative towards the New Yorkers. For manager Jesse Marsch his number one option will be to pout in the lineup all of its veterans towards this compromise.

The squads after seeing some of its important players leave, immediately these replace them with some promising ones in the preseason that can deliver a lot of this squad game lacked in those campaigns. That is the case of the Red Bulls directives taking care of business and bringing the ideal players to reinforce this club in all its compromises.

For the directives of the Red Bulls hard at work, making all sorts of deals to build in this club an all-around contender, the departure od longtime midfielder to Orlando SC in a trade that brought midfielder Carlos Rivas. As Sacha Klejstan moving on to the Lions, the cross the pike squad started making its moves to substitute this lad.

With a new gem in its midfield, the arrival of Argentinian Alejandro Romero Gamarra or better known as Kaku from Huracan, another important player in Venezuelan Cristian Casseres Jr from Deportivo La Guaira and Marc Rzatkowski from Red Bulls Salzburg.

The New Yorkers ill not have a problem missing the likes of Klejstan with threesome that for sure will upgrade and add more depth to their midfield elevating its game with more dynamism and spectacularity.

With a simple Were really excited and were ready, Jesse Marsch simply stated his squad readiness to front with success this 2018, looking forward to many amazing and exciting things to come for his Red Bulls.

At the end my prediction for the Red Bulls to finish among the top three squads and making a run to the postseason and if everything work out as planned by manager Jesse Marsch, we may have this squad in the league finals.
