Toronto looking to another repeat this 2018

Three is a charm, and for the Boys of the Toronto FC this 2018 campaign being the defending champions. They know it will not come easy for them to see a repeat of being in the league finals.

After back-to-back appearances in the grand finale, the second time was the charm for the Reds, after seeing a repeat in the 2016 final foes the Seattle Sounders. Still this time the TFC Boys were ready to make things happen and returning to the grand fete in their home stadium BMO.

The Greg Vanney and company this time they played like champions and after staging a one of kind campaign and with the label of all around favorites, these did not let the forecaster down and winning the grand finale, by defeating the Seattle Sounders with an all-around authority.

By becoming league champions and delivering a foursome of a campaign with the MLS and Supporters Shield, and earning the Eastern Conference Champions trophy as well the Amway Canadian Championships.

We can state that the Toronto FC had a picture perfect campaign after many campaigns since their inception in Major League Soccer not even making it to the playoffs.

Still the start of this new campaign is to give way to a contested one with all of its 23 squads ready to put on a show and by displaying their new arsenals, we are looking forward to another contested but spectacular campaign as well.

That’s why the Toronto directives making all sorts of moves to front this challenges ahead in league play and especially the Eastern Conference with THE Montreal Impact, New York Red Bulls, NYCFC, Chicago Fire and Atlanta United. Manager Vanney knows of the competition he has in this campaign in his conference as well the Western too.

For now despite the loss of some players in the expansion draft, transfers and some retire -the club directives immediately went on the task of re- signing the majority of its last campaign abuse and getting new faces to BMO Field.

With the majority of last squad making a return and new faces in it, the TFC for sure looks like a sure candidate and with no problem of making a third appearance in the finals.

As the preseason is under way for all of MLS squads, the TFC directives being hard at work in replacing some of those who left the club as mentioned before, they went on the task of getting the best.

One by giving up a boost in many areas of much needs especially its defense, Toronto brought a top of the line players and giving this squad a lift with several top class players to really reinforce this area and make it hard to opposing strikers.

With a couple of top class, defenders from Europe in Spaniard Ager Aketxe from Spanish side Cadiz and Dutch sensation Gregory Van der Wiel from Cagliari adding to the pack Brazilian Auro from Sao Paulo FC and American Goalkeeper Caleb Patterson- Sewell.

In addition, the additions of two Homegrown Players in forward Ayo Akinola and midfielder Liam Fraser and Ben Spencer adds to the TFC list of these types of players to seven, opening the doors and opportunities to this club academies.

For Toronto after winning the league shield last campaign and a foursome in trophies, not only they became the league champions but the first of the three Canadian squads in MLS to do such a feat and now, they are looking for a repeat.

At the end, the Toronto FC Reds are coming with the labels of all around favorites.
