This edition of the Danske Bank Premiership is reaching
new levels of competition among Coleraine, Crusaders, Cliftonville, and Linfield

a brace from Ben Doherty both score via penalties in what seemed like a Derby for
first place between these two entities.

the Blues Joel Cooper goals in the 35’ and 44’ were enough to seal the deal as
for the Sky Blues in the 90’ the fortunes shifted with an OG.
In Derry City colossus of Brandywell, Institute played
host to Cliftonville as these latter ones got a grand result without any opposition
from the locals that saw the Reds earning a clean sheet.
With a couple of goals from Conor McMenamin 8’, 49’ and
Joe Gormley 73’, the Reds earned an important win and closing in the top,
trailing by just one point.
Institute 0-3 Cliftonville
Glenavon came to Milltown and netted three important points
on the road to defeat the local Warrenpoint side and further sentence the Point
to relegation, if they continue with this skid.
For the Lurgan Blues getting their first win on the road,
with the visitors Rhys Marshall 52’ and later the point tying via Danny Wallace
56’, score from Eion Weaver 59’ and Andrew Mitchell 77’.
Warrenpoint Town 1-3 Glenavon
Carrick Rangers got an important result over Dungannon
Swifts, with a lone goal from Daniel Kelly in the 26’ minute was enough for the
locals to get an important win at Loughshore Hotel Arena.
On Friday night at Inver Park, the local Larne side lost
to a one-goal difference against the Glens of Glentoran, in spite of the locals’
efforts to net a win but these found a persistent visitor’s side.
Goals from the Reds Mark Randall 4 and Sean Graham 54’ for
the losing cause and for the winning cause Paul O’ Neill scoring a double on
the 19’ and 21’ and Patrick McClean 83’ with the winner.
