in Raul and Marcos Senna playing their last match of their careers.
And what a better farewell
than netting the shield for both of them with a fought off and convincing win
over a hardened Ottawa Fury that didn’t come to sightseeing but make the whole ninety minutes a Calvary
for the Cosmos.
The afternoon
belonged to an inspired and on target in the Cosmos Argentine sensation Gaston
Cellerino who contributed to his squad winning the Shield with a three-goal
tally.
Despite the visiting

worthy a challenger and gave the Cosmos a god scare and a run in this match.
Being Shuart Stadium

and celebrated loudly of their Cosmos achievements.
That at the end the New Yorker's played an ambitious and determined football that saw their efforts awarded

This win marked another
shield in the long list of Honours won by Raul in his career with Spanish giant
Real Madrid, Bundesliga Schalke 04 and now with his New York Cosmos.
Who with his
experience and wisdom in the field contributed to three shields in his stay
with the NY Cosmos by winning the Soccer Bowl, Woosnam Cup and the Spring
Campaign.
As well for another international in Marcos
Senna that saw in this final match of his career a total satisfaction and
adding another set of honors to his illustrious career.
For Cosmos Boss Giovanni
Savarese that has really made a long list of achievements with his Cosmos since
taking over the team in 2013 and making headlines as the winner in the first
ever Big Apple Derby.
By defeating MLS side
and neighbors, the New York Red Bulls in the US open Cup were they made lots of
