It happened in
Zenica, Bosnia- Herzegovina- when Robbie Brady almost gave the Republic of
Ireland an almost pass to the promise land of France 2016.
Still the draw does
not mean any complications for the Green Army, but they will have to put on a
fight to net a pass to the grand fete of European soccer.
With an accurate and
inspired Robbie Brady opening the hostilities and almost did the ultimate of
feats with minutes left in the overall clock, the Boys in Green netted a draw
with an essence of a win.
Very well, having the
opportunity to seal the deal with a second leg pending, and to be played in
Dublin majestic Aviva Stadium and in front of their home crowd, hopefully O’
Neills side comes ready to front and all around Bosnian attack.
As well, take
advantage of their home field advantage with a nice display of football and
limiting their Balkan foes to try to spoil the Irish momentum as well a much
coveted and fought off pass.
Nothing is impossible
as the initial eleven aligned by Ireland’s Boss really played a wonderful game
and really deserved the win as well make the score a bit more comfortable,
unfortunately for them the Bosnia keeper had a field day with several saves.
Alongside Ireland’s
backfield repelling attacks of their Bosnian hosts until Roma power forward
Edin Dzeko shoot the equalizer for the final score and await the outcome on
Monday in who will be the victor.
Monday, Monday will
be a big day that will paralyze Dublin town and will wait to see its Boys in
Green do the ultimate of feats and earn its pass and joining its Northern
neighbor in the Norn Iron, The Red Dragons and Three Lions.
A pass will indeed
prove for the Republic of Ireland Manager Martin O’ Neill his tenure as an
accurate one and one that really has brought back the pride in Irish football
and with utmost authority.
When many in Erin had
its doubts and giving their back to their national squad as well its league
anemic attendance’s, suddenly this nation is on the brink of making a possible
first in returning to this event in back to back fashions.
That is the work of
the dynamic duo in the helm of Erin National squad with O’ Neill and Keane
working hard to correct the gaps and misfits in the Green Army.
At the end, this squad
is poised for many high profile achievements and in France, the Greens under
Martin O’ Neill will indeed make a good run and perform to a high standard, Monday
will be the day that the Boys in Green can wrap it up. Téigh i bPoblacht na hÉireann!
