This is it for the Foireann peile náisiúnta Phoblacht na hÉireann
or Republic of Ireland on its date with destiny and their upcoming challenge in
this edition of EURO 2016. Showing off
its readiness in their leaders Martin O’ Neill and Assistant Roy Keane, to make
all around history with the Greens!
After a dramatic qualifying
process that was decided until its end, with a convincing win over Bosnia Herzegovina
to net the final spot to one of Europe’s most prestigious events in football. Alongside
with their Northern neighbors and cousins of the Norn Iron, the Emerald Isle well
represented.
As the Boys in Green
seeded in Group E or better known as the death one, considered a bit tough and
difficult with squads of the likes of: Italy, Belgium and Sweden. The Green
Army will not have a field day with these initial elevens as well not coming
labeled as all around favorites to win it all.
Still for its Manager
Martin O’ Neill it will be another challenge well meet and seeing his Boys
prepared ahead with such determination, maybe the Erin natives can do the
ultimate of feats by qualifying for quarters at least.
With the way, this tournament
organized with two of the groups top two squads of the six groups advancing
along with the best four third places getting a spot in the round of 16. This
can be a glimpse of hope to the Boys in Green to make a decorous stand in this
edition.
One thing for the
Republic of Ireland Bosses is that after the FAI gave them a new contract and
vote of confidence, but now their next major hurdle with his Green Army will be
of advancing into the next stages. These is not a thing of just showing off and
return home empty handed and with no efforts seen at its end, no, this is
serious business for O’Neill.
By depositing, all of
his hopes and trust in his initial eleven and handpicked group in order to make
an impacting run in this Euro. His impression after seeing his Boys compete
will be a criterion used by him to forge another competitive and ambitious
squad into the world cup qualifiers.
Considered as one of
his ultimate of goals, for Martin O’ Neill after the Euro performance by his
Boys in Green, his next challenge will be that coveted World Cup ticket. This
will be his quest of making all around history with the Green Army in
delivering a dose of double of qualifying them to two important events during
his time at its helm.
For now, the main
objective for Manager O’ Neill and his Greens- will be of making a good
impression on their first match scheduled against Sweden on lucky June 13,
considered as a test of fire for the Éireann backfield
in stopping a hardened Nordic squad and its top-notch striker Zlatan
Ibramovich.
Very well making a
strong stand against its group foes in the Red Devils of Belgium and the
Azzurri of Italy as always being among the favorites to win it all in this edition of EURO 2016.
As previously stated,
the Republic of Ireland comes a non favorite or seen as an ugly duckling in its
group, but one thing is that this squad can play a wonderful football and play
the role of David, the spoiler. One thing this squad will show off its difficulty of being played and not being beat as easily as its group foes have foreseen
in the Greens.
This squad can make all
sorts of headlines if not history with its performance and the way its Manager
lineup and its initial eleven will deliver in the field, by far this squad is
ready and looking a bit ambitious in their EURO adventure.
