Amazing is the word
to describe those amazing Portland Timbers, after their win and one of a kind
performance’s at Rio Tinto Stadium.
As their man at the
helm is becoming a sort of Dr. Jekyll and with nothing to hide initial eleven that so far has responded to his demands.
Indeed, as positive
results are in Manager Caleb Porter mind, very well seeking his perfect and
ideal formation to front the remaining matches of what it seems a much
contested league.
Porteball has begun drastically
in a way, of making the necessary changes for the best, on their quest to making
their push to the Western Division top five spots and assure a spot in the
postseason.
Certainly looks like Caleb’s
Bhoys are exorcising those ugly demons of Rio Tinto as well this campaign road
blues are becoming a thing of the past as this squad is marching to the top.
Something really to
acclaim is that this skipper moves have really paid off, in his defensive scheme
with Jorge Villafaña, Rauwshan McKenzie and Danny
O'Rourke- delivering with style.
Still
big man in Argentinian Norberto Paparatto is adjusting slowly and committing
less errors in the Timbers defensive side; soon the return from DL of Michael
Harrington and Pa Modu Kah will make it very interesting as well Alvas Powell coming form his suspension.
I
mean Manager Porter will have his options and lay his cards into the table in
who will be his defensive four as well start a competivness among his chaps to fight for a
starting position.
Nothing
will be stopping the Rose City Bhoys, although last week’s lost in the Cascadia
Derby was an unjust one and aided the visiting Caps, thanks to a couple of non-existent
penalties, by those inept members of the referee corps that really lost control
and reality of the match.
That
was then and is now for the Portland Timbers, who will be suited up in their
business as usual commitment to try and avenge their loss at Texas from a
resurgent Dallas FC squad, as this event will be played at Providence Park.
Going
back to that awesome and gigantic 3-1 victory over an archrival that has been a
constant annoyance, many will say how sweet it is as well wonderfully planned by
Manager Caleb Porter strategy.
Paying
off at the end for the Portland chap’s that never gave up in the whole match,
although being behind one goal, the men in green responded with three and a
couple from newly incorporated Fanendo
Adi, that along with Diego Valeri and Manager Porter were considered top MLS
figures of the week, well done chaps!
If
I Root, I Root for the Timbers!
