A One Sided Edition of the Munster Derby

Those Cork City chaps are looking like an all-around contender in the SSE Airticity League, as every match played so far in the campaign; those City chaps are showing some serious determination.

That can be seen in every match they play, like there’s no tomorrow, this comes after their quest to bring to Turners Cross halls, the coveted Airtricity Shield.

Also an unbeaten home stand is something that this group is really proud off and very well surprises Manager John Caufield.

By seeing how the Bhoys are closing on the gap on Dundalk for the top spot in the SEE Airtricity League, with just one point and a match pending for the Leesiders.

Playing a strong minded football, with a focus and determination of excellence in every match played so far and hungry like a wolf in their quest to recover the league top.

As the Shannonsiders coming off with a three consecutive win streak as well high hopes to halt their nemesis triumphs in this these Derbies.

The Munster Derby, sure look like one contested event, as well for the Lims a win meant three points of gold as well made a move in the league overall table.

Off course this was in their Manager Stuart Taylor mind to go and conquer their archrival in this provincial derby as visitor really would meant as an overall achievement along with bragging rights.

Unfortunately that wasn’t an afternoon for the Limerick chaps as nothing went as planned by skipper Taylor and the home side got a very deserved and convincing 3-0 win.

This loss didn’t achieve anything for the Super Blues, who are behind the Bit O’ Red Sligo Rovers that came victorious in their last compromise, which extended their lead over the Lims by five points.

At the end the Rebel Army and its Manager John Caufield is pleased with the results obtained lately by his club along the stubbornness, his club is showing in league play.

Something that the City Skipper is aiming in the upcoming matches his club will be facing in Sligo Rovers, Drogheda, UCD and a belligerent Shamrock Rovers- these latter ones seeking to return to its old winning ways at the Rebel Army expense.
