North Ireland Premiership Squad’s UEFA Ready

So the lads from the North Ireland Premiership are ready for business, as the first qualifying rounds of the always prestigious UEFA Europa League are under way.

Nothing to lose but a lot to gain is the mind set by the NIPL squads on their first leg, where these gladiators are ready for primetime one round at a time.

With a total of seventy eight squads looking to advance in this challenge, North Ireland representatives in Linfield FC, Glenavon FC and Crusaders.

As the last edition Champions of the Danske Bank Premiership League, the Cliftonville Reds will seek a spot in the main event of Champions League.

Looking like contenders, the Irish Premiership squads are determined to make their way into the highest positions in this event.

Making their main goal and objective, in going all the way into the tourney top spots as well fight for the always coveted UEFA shield to adorn their stadium halls.

Still there’s a long way to go and the Bhoys are ready to front any of their challenges, very well perform as expected against their foes in turn.

Let me start with a belligerent Linfield FC that really took advantage of its opportunities and got a memorable result against a surprised Tórshavn of the Faroe Islands with a score of 2-1 at always difficult Tórsvøllur Stadium.

On Seaview Stadium the almighty Crusaders playing as locals they got a half a ticket as well a convincing win of 3-1 over a Lithuanian side of FK Erkanas.

Unfortunately for the chaps of Glenavon FC things didn’t work as expected and they had a reverse of misfortunes in an afternoon of adverse football for them and their Player- Manager Gary Hamilton.

Seeing is side dwindle as a visitor at Iceland’s Kaplakriki- Hafnarfjörður Stadium where they fell on an inspired Hafnarfjarðar initial eleven for a 3-0 loss.

Still we have a second round of play to be decided on July 10, were these three Irish squads can really assure themselves a position into the next rounds and their continuance in this event.

By now these squads of the Irish Premiership are showing a sort of readiness and mettle in their quest for a success that has evaded this league teams in every campaign.

Their first step is to eliminate the ghosts of eliminations past and pursue a sort of excellence for their clubs as well the league they are representing proudly in this edition of Europe’s top notch event.
