Down That Stretch The Timbers Are Committed to Excellence

For the Boys of Rose City after posting impressive numbers at Providence Park and looking as an unbeatable squad with just one loss and seven wins and four draw matches this campaign.

So far the PTFC is looking like a tough and hardened squad to beat, but for their misfortunes their matches aren’t all played at home, with thirty four matches’ throughout the campaign and half of those being played on the road.

The road to the postseason is looking a bit contested and really gets a bit challenging as the Timbers suddenly have encountered with a few bumps in this campaign.

Playing as a home squad the Timbers record speaks for itself but on the road suddenly this squad isn’t playing a good football and their woes suddenly can mess their run to the grand fete at the end of the campaign.

Still many we can state that in “Caleb we Trust” and with a fearsome foursome and it rhymes, the Portland backfield at home has shown to be a backfield that no one can mess with and giving their goalie Adam Kwarsey a bit of relaxation.

With challenge’s coming and going this squad needs to improve in many areas as well consistency is something that’s the missing ingredient in this squad, after all this squad can make things happen!

From its initial eleven that is considered a complete one with players capable of everything and making things happen and delivering lots of positive results in favor for this Rose City squad.

As the Timbers upcoming matches at home that include the likes of not so easy Houston Dynamo, New York Red Bulls, playing Sporting Kansas City twice and closing the campaign with Colorado.

Suddenly their winning streak at home seems a bit compromised but not impossible to mount an all-around offensive and net important results for the Timbers squad in their efforts of not to miss the postseason once again.

Very well a road stand were a match included against the likes of the Seattle Sounders trying to avenge that humiliating loss at Providence Park on June 28 and now they pay a visit to them at Century Link.

Another tough road schedule to close the campaign will be against the Columbus Crew, star studded LA Galaxy and a couple of trips to always difficult Rio Tinto Stadium against a difficult Real Salt Lake seeking to salvage their campaign.

Difficult but not impossible the task and goals ahead for the PTFC seeing the efforts and overall commitment to excel in this campaign will undoubtedly one tough challenge for this squad to bear and overcome in what’s left of this campaign.

That’s in their Boss mind and objectives to make a successful run in what’s remaining of this campaign with their new striker in Lucas Melano this squad can start wreaking havoc in the opposing squads defenses.

A very contested and challenged campaign for Manager Caleb Porter who has endured with his chaps and despite the injuries at the beginning he has maintained this squad afloat and with a desire of winning if not excellence.

Despite the levels of competitiveness that this league has shown all campaign long as well in the open transfer market many squad’s arming themselves to the teeth and seek the ultimate of glories, still these Timbers don’t run they play to win it all!
