Is what many of the Canaries hard core followers
had just experienced after seeing their squad on the Championship League for the
past campaign and suddenly getting the courage to pull an all-around upset.
Oh yes, in the so called playoff system that
decides the last spot for promotion to the big circuit of the EPL and the Yellows-
suddenly paired with the heavily favorite chaps of Middleborough to be played at
the so called Cathedral of football in Wembley Stadium.
It’s when their feat was consummated and
leaving a squad in dismay and perplexed after seeing their efforts gone down
the drain once again, courtesy of the Norwich City Boys.
Give credit to their Scottish born Manager Alex
Neill who really rallied his troops and played with a lot of heart and hunger
for their return to the big circuit after their last campaign absence.
By far the managerial career of this chap,
which has taken a turn for the best after his first stint with his old squad Scottish
side Hamilton Academicals and by replacing Billy Reid by taking the responsibilities’
as a Player – Manager.
Seeing his side netting a very important
promotion to the Scottish Premier League for his squad and being one of his
more raucous wins over this league giant Celtic Glasgow and after that being
lured by English Side Norwich City.
Making Manager Neill look or remind us of
Sir Alex Ferguson the Legendary former Boss from Manchester United that made a
name for himself in EPL, call it coincidence or just luck but this fellow is looking
like a winner and alike his co-national!
This Scott delivers and so far with a
second achievement in his short lived Managerial career one in the SPL and now
in the EPL, the Yellows Boss looks like a determined man that can make the
ultimate of miracles with this club.
Possibly he won’t win the Barclay’s Premiership
Shield, but there’s a maybe that he can possibly net a shield or two in the FA
or Capitol One Cups competitions that can forge this club into a future
contender.
Also the goals of this first year Boss and
this club top brass will be the permanency in Premiership for this and many
campaign to come as well deliver shield to its halls at Carrow Road.
Another plus is that this club didn’t had the
necessity of going to any extreme to bringing name player’s after all this club
is considered one of the modest because of their limited budgets and giving a
vote of confidence to their current squad.
With just four players to come and reinforce
this Norfolk squad and make front in what many see a disputed campaign and with
the arrival of Graham Dorrans and Youssouf Mulumbu- West Bromwich Albion, Robbie
Brady- Hull City and Andre Wisdom- Liverpool.
A campaign that promises a lot of challenges
and maybe a lot of satisfactions or frustration’s, but at the end these will be
a challenge well meet by its second year Boss and the Canaries’ that can fly
high and possibly make all sorts of headlines.
