Cork City returning to the league top

With the Lilywhites drawing at home against a streaking Derry City, and Cork City winning over a decimated Bohemians side. The race to the league top currently tied between the Rebel Army and the Town squad.

After netting a clean sheet in the colossus of Phibsborough, Dalymont Park, the Leesiders are back in the fight and looking forward to a successful defense of their hard won championship with another repeat.

Still one squad sits in the way a newly improved and reinforced Dundalk FC that after getting an even score at home over the Candystripes, this result seen as a positive one, now tied in first with the City lads. Their upcoming matches for both squads will mark an unforgettable race for the league top as both squads looking forward to the top.

For Cork City manager John Caulfield it was business as usual, now he, and his initial eleven they came to Dublin to net three golden points.

With just ten minutes in the game clock by Colm Horgan, all of a sudden we had the defending champions delivering the game these are accustomed to and showing off their might over a hapless Gypsies.

As the home side, suddenly making all sorts of efforts and taking the Rebel Army focus of the game a derailing them  and these looking forward of making all sorts of moves to come even in the scoreboard.

Unfortunately, luck was not on the home side eleven all afternoon long, in a time, the Bohs got four corners in a successive way, in no moment these could not capitalize on the opportunity, and at the end, they were blanked.

Despite the changes Keith Long made in his lineup from last week, the moves made a difference but not harm in the visiting Leesiders, as the new faces in the lineup so far seen as promising. Ask that to a determined and inspired Dylan Watts making all sorts of efforts towards the City keeper, which he repelled successfully.

As this match the Rebel Army backfield standing its ground and with a newly incorporated Kieran Sadlier he made his opportunity rise with an assistance that in the 65 minute saw the efforts of Graham Cummins delivering in the clutch.

By scoring the go-ahead goal, a minute later he came out via a substitution by Josh Hanlon, still the man left all happy after putting the go-ahead goal in the scoreboard and paving for the way for his Leesiders to come up big in the end.

At the end, this win puts the Rebel Army even in the top with 28 points tied with Dundalk who tied tis match and a revival for John Caulfield and company, in the case of the local Bohs their efforts going in vain and with no luck to deliver.
