No damage between two
cross town rivals, looking to net three points in their favor as well make a
move in the Airtricity League overall table.
Unfortunately that
didn’t happened in a very disputed afternoon were these two titans didn’t do
any damage into each others goalposts and put an end to this match with a
scoreless draw and with both squads sharing a point each.
Anytime we witness a
match between the Shamrock Rovers and the Bohemians, as the so called Dublin
Derby the hype of every one of these matches is lived with an absolute passion.
Very well see who
will be the dominant entity as well earn bragging rights in what many have seen
in the Airticity League a long lasting rivalry and a very tussled one if you
may say so!
An afternoon of
football with these two gladiators fighting for an all-around dominance in the
field and giving the Rovers a slight advantage in the end, still the long for waited
score never came from any of these two initial eleven.
That saw their
effort’s rewarded with a scoreless draw and a lot of booking from both sides,
as well a very close defensive Gypsies looking very conservative and not let
the local Hoops to gain any liberties to net three points of gold as well win
the derby at home.
For now the lads
managed by Pat Fenlon are in third place and looking a bit in control for now,
on a what many see a new challenging and contested league, if his Hoops are to
regain the top of the league as well see their return to old glories.
In the opposite side
of the coin for the Bohs Boss Keith Long so far is seeing his boy’s recovery
with a lot of pride and so far situated in fourth place with one point behind
their cross town rival’s the Hoops.
At the end a point
for each squad was a fair way to describe a very fought and exciting match at
times, if not a bit accidental that saw three booking for each squad players.
Now lest wait for the
next edition of the Dublin Derby with the Bohs being the hosts at Dalymont Park
at Phibsboro district to see who is the top gun in this campaign and a dominant
one in this city Derbies.
