For Dick Advocaat, the
new Sunderland Manager, making his debut with the right foot with the Black
Cats in what many see a passionate Tyne- Wear Derby- being as an all-around
feat.

The Toon boys came
determined to win the second part of this fought of Derby and again came out empty
handed and giving their rival’s a good excuse to brag all about their dominance
in both matches played this campaign.
Starring with a squad
that has been encountering percentage problems and sudden slipping into the bottom
three positions and firing the boss with just a few matches left in the campaign.

Something that
many will state, how do these guys do it, when the first time they defeated a
hardened Geordie squad and this time both of these initial eleven we can say
were even, the Black Cats really played a dominant role as well lady luck being
in both meeting on the Sunderland boy’s side.
By winning by the
minimum difference, that’s all what the Sunderland boys’ need, as this match
was in the eyes of the Sunderland front office as vital and in a desperate way
to salvage their campaign one more time.
And focus into
building a contender into next campaign, setting their eyes once again on Premiership
and try to net a few shields in its internal competitions alongside try to get
into the coveted Champions League or its equivalent tournament.

Giving a hot streak
in Derby play with five consecutive wins over the Geordies, at the end an
emotional Defoe saw his efforts crowned alongside a revival of his career once
again after his failed stint in Americas professional soccer league.
Don’t count your
chickens before them hatch, as this win
is the beginning for Sunderland hopes and with remaining matches by the likes
of Crystal Palace, Stoke City, Southampton and closing with Leicester City and
Arsenal.

Being able to stay
another campaign in the big one will be challenge well taken by Manager
Advocaat and his chaps hungry for new satisfactions and goals at end of the campaign.
