Hold that tiger, by the way
Thorns midfielder Allie Long is playing lately, with such a conviction and goal
driven hunger, these words really fit on her amazing performances- making the
difference for a high flying Rose City squad this 2015.
The Portland Thorns are sure
heading to the right direction of the league finals as well with a conviction
of perfection and excellence in the field, and although the squad is lacking a
few of their players.
Still by seeing his initial
eleven, displaying a sort of grand and dynamic soccer in both matches by its
Manager Paul Riley, that’s causing an all-around sensation, by netting two
important back to back wins at home.
Giving his girls an overall
confidence going into their next match playing as visitors in the Windy City of
Chicago to face a belligerent and
difficult Red Star at Lyle, Illinois and seeking another W in their favor to
start with an extraordinary run.
A top rated Thorns seeing a top
notch midfielder core headed so far by sharpshooter Allie Long, sure is making life a bit easier for her Boss Paul
Riley, who is seeing his ideals and strategies falling into place alongside
netting the positive results that so far being undefeated in their first two matches played at home.
Is to be considered so far as a
feat, still with eighteen matches left in this campaign, that anything can
happen, the Liverpool native can really be a bit relax with the current lineup
and girls that will be staying behind as his starts are up to perform in this
summer Women’s World Cup.
That won’t stop as well make all
sorts of headlines in its current hot gun stellar player in the Thorns midfield
by the name of Allie Long, looking to rewrite this club prestigious history
since its inception in the NWSL and inscribing her name in gold in all of this
entity record books.
As Allie Long with both stellar
performances, so far she has tied the Thorns forward a National Team superstar
Alex Morgan in most goals scored with 15 each and the midfielder netting her 46th
career appearance and tying in first place with Nikki Marshall in all time appearances.
This match put in display Allie
Long second consecutive match scoring drive in two back to back matches of the new
campaign, defenders Rhian Wilkinson and Midfielder Kaylyn Kyle made their
Thorns debut with their incursion in the second half.
Very well seeing Goalkeeper
Nadine Angerer and Christine Sinclair making their first appearances of this 2015
and the German goalie had a picture perfect day with a zero incursion into her
nets and registered a clean sheet for the fifth time with the Thorns.
if the Thorns continue their
mastering against their opponents in all campaign by outscoring them, and
holding them to single digit shoot attempts, this club is up and running for the
league shield as stated in my previous post, Hail PTFC!
If
I Root I Root for the Thorns!
