Nineteen years and
waiting, being this 2014-15 championship that ended a drought for this Northern
Belfast club as well considered like an all-around feat for its Boss Stephen Baxter.
For the Northern
Ireland Football League and Danske Bank Champions and new flamboyant champions
of this edition, the Crusaders FC chaps, was a job well done!
By winning their
fifth League of Ireland shield after a second place in 2012-13 being its last
merit and for Manager Baxter was a mission accomplished, after his lads defeated
a possible spoiler in a determined Glentoran FC seeking redemption as well stop
the Hachetmen celebrations.
Not today mates was a
motto used by an inspired Crues, showing off with a convincing 2-0 win over the
Cock and Hens, sealed the deal and made their wait worthwhile with another
shield for their multiple collection at Seaview Stadium.
Once again NIPL
giants Linfield Blues were left in the edge after letting go another league
shield in hands of the Crusaders FC that win the league in style with eleven
points ahead of their cross town rivals the Blues, Lurgan Blues and last
edition defending champions the Reds.
Seaview celebrated a
shield well deserved after seeing its prodigal sons, the Hachetmen overcoming
many challenges all campaign long and with a worthy and challenging foe- in
their cross town foes the Linfield Blues.
This squad has come a
long way as well making a lot of strides after their glory days in the nineties
were long forgotten with time as well their infamous relegation in 2005- being
rescued by the one and only Stephen Baxter.
Thirty eight matches
well played and done in what many called an out of this world efforts to see
this day finally come with pride as well delivered to those faithful at Seaview
Stadium.
Finally this squad
really is looking forward to net the always league sought Gibson Cup when its
captain hoists it, will be a day of celebration all over Seaview, Belfast.
As many say this is
the beginning of several more shields to deliver to Seaview Stadium halls, with
an upcoming prestigious EA Sports Cup played with their neighbors down south
from the Republic of Ireland Airtricity League.
The Lads of Stephen
Baxter will try their best to net another piece of silverware as well other
local more tourneys, but the EA Cup will be a feat like no other as well end a
drought by the NIPL in this contested and much disputed event between both
Irelands.
Still for Manager
Baxter after the celebration is the way to renew one more time the league
shield as well in UEFA’S Europa League competition assure a spot to play with the big boys, a
feat difficult but not impossible for the Crusaders FC boys, Well done
Champions!
