Still this was their first
match of the campaign and so far for Paul Riley’s Lassies, putting a display in
the field with such mastery and determination, that the Boston Breakers couldn’t
contain such a hunger from an inspired initial eleven.

The PTFC really looks
like an all-around contender, still this summer we have the Women’s World Cup
of Soccer celebrated north of the border, this and many squads of the National Women’s
Soccer League will be losing their starters.

For yours very truly
this is my first time writing about women’s professional soccer and what I saw
the other day many in the opposing men’s league can learn a thing or two from
these lassies- playing with a lot of ambitions and hunger.

Hang a star on those girls’
performances as well from Sinead Farrelly and Meleana Shin who contributed for the
winning cause as well take a bit of pressure from their Manager back, as always
the first match is the nerve racking one.

With nineteen matches
left in the campaign the Thorns are ready to front a combatant Western New York
Flash squad coming from a horrible defeat from the Seattle Reign and a visit to
Benedictine University Sports complex to face the Chicago Red Stars.
With the way PTFC
will be playing this campaign, undoubtedly this their year that can net a lot of
satisfactions to its followers and players alike after seeing their efforts
crowned once again as an overall contender of the NWSL.
If I Root I Root for the
Thorns!
