Too premature to state
how a squad campaign can end in Premiership early stages, still the way this
Spurs club, so far is playing and displaying a one of a kind football, with a contentious
look.
If I stated that, many
heads are starting to turn in amaze and looking towards this club based in North
London Town.
You might think how exaggerated
I am, but with a promising and full of praise campaign performed so far, I believe
we might have an early race for the league pennant.
The key for this match
was the momentum infringed from the Spurs Manager to his players who played
with an all-around passion in their football and pressure towards a hot streaked
City squad that became its latest victim.
As the London based squad
not even against modest Boro and Sunderland did put on a show and showed such
easiness and dominance like the way they did over the Boys from Etihad.
Many campaigns have
passed at this part of London town, after seeing the fracas and failures from
their Lilywhites disappointing campaigns past, the outlook under their Argentine
boss looks very promising.
With an important
match in week 7, when the Spurs received the perfect Manchester City of Pep Guardiola
considered a top brass among modern day squad managers, an impressive record
and initial eleven were something to concern the Boys of Mauricio Pochettino.
In the background,
the majestic grand stands of White Hart Lane filled to its capacity to witness
an epic battle were their amazing and spectacular club was on the verge of
facing a serious and dangerous foe in the Sky Blues.
As Manchester City labeled
as unbeatable and hard to knock down flat, were a thing in the past by the way
this Spurs squad did to this club once touted as invincible in league circles.
The all-around
passion and adrenaline the Spurs initial eleven had with them, became to evident
in the course of the match as these chaps really came inspired and determined to
make Guardiola and his City Boys life in the field, as miserable as ever!
With a constant domination
and very intimidating to the Sky Blues game that at the end became just a
simple one and not showing any signs of being the new Manchester City who looked
as bold and unbeatable as it looked in its previous matches.
As ninety minutes of
pure mastery from a young squad, the Andean master was sculpting that so far been
shape by hand the Argentine, as a future winner in the end.
What if the Spurs at the
beginning of the campaign in their matches against Everton and Liverpool instead
of a draw these would become wins; imagine the record and the mastery of the Londoners
in the overall table with 22 points in the lead.
A club that last
campaign with its young guns showed resilience and ambition that almost netted
them the league from Leicester City, until the end when archrival Arsenal by
miracle snatched them the second position.
Their unfortunate
part was the fatigue and the experience many of the Tottenham players lacked
that became crucial for this squad surrendering their successful drive until the
end.
Still for Manager Mauricio
Pochettino his vows were to rebuild a contender.
So far, the Londoners
are looking good with a perfect record including any losses that accounts for
two draws and five wins so far in the campaign, shaping to be as exciting as
ever once again and maybe this campaign a London squad may win the league title.
For now, White Hart
Lane lived and celebrated loudly and in unison, how their prodigal son’s recent
feat and now to ready themselves for a new month of Premiership action,
Champions League and FA competitions.
That is not the only
challenge ahead for Mauricio Pochettino who has to keep a healthy roster ahead of
international call for several of his players and these maintain themselves healthy
until the end of the league if this squad is to aim for the League shield.
The need of injured front
men Harry Kane not been missed all, but when he makes his comeback and his adaptability
rapidly to the Spurs current state of surprisingly displayed top of the line football, the outlook for this Spurs squad is
very bright.
