In Marc Dos Santos, the Vancouver Whitecaps have chosen a true competitor and visionary of the game that has earned him a number of honors in his managerial career for his dynamic approach to the game.
A man that has tackled a number of challenges in his career successfully and now his main endeavor is to unite this club and start forward to many memorable afternoons in BC Place in uplifting this club competitiveness.
By inheriting a club, that so far in all of Major League Soccer has one of the most promising and prolific of academies that is in need of the right direction and polishing a number of these diamonds in the rough to one day make it into the big club.
However, it does not come easy but not difficult for a man that has tackle a number of challenges in his career, as his work speak loudly for him after netting many positive results in his past stints.
One thing for sure manager Dos Santos will highlight and step up the competition in the always-contested Cascadia Derby when he meets again with his former NASL foe Portland Timbers manager Giovanni Dos Santos.
As you recall these two had a run in that disappeared North American Soccer League finals in 2017 when his then San Francisco Deltas defeated then almighty New York Cosmos then managed by Gio Dos Santos.
By this referential the Portland Timbers were on the hunt for his services along with Giovanni Dos Santos that in the end the Rose City squad opted for the services of the man from Venezuela.
After his time under Bob Bradley and his project with newcomer LAFC, Dos Santos saw the big picture in the MLS game style and play that without any hesitations he took the offer the Caps offered him to take over his destinies.
Armed with an impressive CV and a number of titles under his sleeve, we may have a new winning era under Dos Santos, after all the men knows how to silence his detractors after winning in Brazil in Palmeiras U-15 the youth cup.
After being ridiculed as a Canadian taking over a formidable team in the Amazonian country with successful stints with Primeira Camisa FC, winning the Copa Sao Paolo a first for this club and finishing with Desportio Brasil. Other honors of this man includes two-time winner of NASL Manager of the year in 2015 and 2017.
In the end, the man CV tells a lot but among one of his major tackles is to unite a divided locker room were some players want out of the club after failing to make the postseason and seeing one of its prodigies moving on to Bundesliga.
The other experience for him will be to assemble a contender with the current roster and new faces to come at BC Place as well how much budget this club will have available to get a few playmakers that can turn things around in BC Place.
Still for this man all hopes are deposited on his work to perform with his club and looking forward on building an all-around contender in these Caps with a man that has won it all in CFL, USL, NASL and aboard.
Challenges will be there and this man for sure will tackle them with success and move on in making this as one of the best clubs in all Major League Soccer and going beyond in delivering a league title being among his most targeted aims.
To conclude the man is a natural winner and now he will bring that philosophy to a club in need of forging a winning culture and Marc Dos Santos is the ideal man to deliver such a feat in BC Place.
