The FAI Cup culminated a wondrous campaign for Dundalk

Dundalk 2, Cork City 1
Aviva Stadium, Dublin

For the Town Boys this campaign is as if they went to a pub and ask for double, well soccer enthusiasts these Lilywhites did it again in an encore of last edition FAI Cup finals.

In a campaign manager Stephen Kenny is paving his way to one day, he can take over the destinies of the Republic of Ireland National team with the way this man is forging a career of success after success with the Munster side.

I hail to another amazing, exciting and contested League of Ireland that showed the best of several squads and brought a sense of competition, unfortunate in the end the Rebel Army running out of gas and the Lilywhites gaining on the moment.

However, the way this club played all campaign long and for manager Kenny getting the best of his initial eleven not depending in just one sole player to carry this club, teamwork did the job as well its unity in the field that brought another league title.

This man has a one of a kind squad and for many years, he can get the best of it with a defense of its title in for the upcoming 2019 campaign that starts for them on February 22, not before these have a faceoff in the Presidents Cup.

As Dundalk Town readies to celebrate, good times with its Boys for one man is back to business and prepare for another contested edition of the LOI as well looking forward to make a stand and a run into the group stages of the Champions League knockout rounds.

For manager Stephen Kenny looking forward this time to a prolific run against the best of Europe if he qualifies his team to the big ball of Champions Group  and overcome their Europa League 2016 performance.

After last year not so successful in the defense of their shield, the Lilywhites under Kenny were ready to rock the likes of the SSE with an amazing run  in tis 2018 and leaving behind that horrific 2017 that even in this 2018 the Leesiders beat them in the Presidents Cup.

So far, these got somewhat a paid back to their league archrivals in the league Derby that brings the best of both squads whenever these played one another, come February we are to brace another edition of this competition.

For now the Lilywhites will celebrate good times and their overall lucky 13th shield in their history and looking for more under the helm of Stephen Kenny who anytime the FAI make a last minute decision and he gets the call to take over the reins of the Green Army.

To conclude I hail to a prolific and exciting 2018 for these Dundalk FC Boys, Comhghairdeas le súgradh sraitheach na hÉireann, FC Dún Dealgan!
