A Total CONCACHAMPIONS Disaster for MLS Squads

This week became a botch for all three squads representing Major League Soccer, as this current edition of CONCACHAMPIONS League, is now considered a thing of the past.
With the LA Galaxy being the first to be eliminated from contention, many pinned their hopes on the San Jose Quakes and 2013 MLS Champions’ Sporting Kansas City.
As the Mexican squads being their rivals in quarters, the Americans squads had a minimum advantage going to the second leg, now paying their counterparts a visit to their venues in Mexico.
With the Galaxy going to play in Tijuana Caliente Field considered a tough venue to play and the Angelinos dubbed this match as the Border rivalry- at the end the visiting Angelinos bit the dust with a ferocious reaction from the locals.
Putting in evidence the lack of experience and personality as visiting squads, were their Mexican counterpart’s really showed a known- how in soccer.
The San Jose Quakes having Buck Shaw Stadium as their first leg match against top notch Toluca Red Devils and getting a late goal of the match in the last minute for a tie- many thought that their second leg going to going to Toluca’s Nemesio Diez Stadium known as La Bombonera ( Candy Box) for its coziness.
Still our Silicon Valley chaps had to endure and face a tough crowd in this is stadium and a fan base known as La Perra Brava or pardon my language “the Brave Bitch” for their peculiar levels of support and ear deafening noises as well this city’s altitude!
Something that really played against the Quakes and at the end became the second American squad to fell over flat in the always fatidic free kicks, were the story repeated for our MLS squads with a loss and our San Jose chaps disillusion.
For the last campaign Champions Sporting Kansas City, going against a traditional and popular club in Mexico’s League, Cruz Azul (Blue Cross); as the reigning MLS 2013 champions’, by getting a 1-0 advantage at Sporting Park in Kansas City, somehow their endeavor going to Mexico City’s Azul Stadium was going to be an easy one.
Don’t count your chickens before they hatch, as the Mexican Blues really showed off their visitors how soccer is played and with mastery win for a 5-2 final score and rout over SKC.
At the end Major League Soccer clubs showed off resistance, resilience and determination- their unfortunate side was to perform the final move and capitalize in their conditions as locals in adding a more favorable score.
Very well these club showed a very advanced game level and personality in the filed, but games are won with the right moves and strategy were our Mexican counterparts got the best of our MLS chaps, until next CCL to be played at the end of the year.
