A Sudden Scare that Paid Off for the Hotspurs

A win at home for the Ukrainian side Dnipro Dnepropetrovsk FC, became a cold shower for the visiting Tottenham side on their first match.
Still, hope and calm prevailed for Manager Tim Sherwood, after the score was by one goal and going into White Hart Lane- things suddenly looked somehow hopeful.
Going into the 32nd leg of the Europa’s UEFA Cup, the Lilywhite’s were prepared to give it all they had in their stash of strategies.
For Dnipro Skipper, Juande Ramos coming to North London, as a visiting side and with a slim advantage over its English side- a win or just a simple draw, would it been an all-around victory!
After all, his side started the opening hostilities with an early goal in the 47th minute, giving the Londoners a complete disadvantage by two goals- something that proved difficult for the local Spurs.
As many recall, this affair wasn’t over until the Spurs motivated by an emotional goodbye, addressed by departing striker Jermaine Defoe, suddenly ignited a spark in the Spurs initial eleven.
Propelling the Lilywhite’s own Emmanuel Adebayor and Christian Eriksen, the reason of why this London club, paid a hefty sum for the Togo native services- giving his side the win, by delivering a couple of scores that seal the pass for his club.
This win really gives the Spurs Manager some breathing room and confidence, that his lads can deliver at the right time and place, during the remainder of league play as well this European league.
Motivated, indeed is what the chaps of Manager Tim Sherwood after their international match heroics and going into league play against a not so easy Cardiff City that can really turn things around for the Spurs.
At the end, things are looking somehow better for this London club, so far their fifth place in the overall table is a relief for skipper Sherwood, since taking over the helm.
Don’t count your chickens before they hatch, as they say, with matches pending in the European League and a not so easy foe in the Portuguese side Benfica as their next challenge- the Spurs are back to the drawing board as well its skipper.
Something that looks with twist of difficulty as well a challenge well meet for the current boss of the Lilywhites- by going into the final of the European League and getting that much desired trophy- the Hotspurs skipper will be showing off his capabilities.
Very well give this London club the much needed confidence, lost after AVB firing, still there’s a lot of convincing to do for the always skeptic Tottenham top brass, but with a strong showing in the league and in the UEFA Tournament- Maybe Tim Sherwood will be this club man.
