Rösler’s Latics Going for the FA Shield

The ultimate feat, that’s what this club in search of redemption and possible return to England’s top league, is by doing it with style.
After all this Wigan squad is suddenly embroiled for a chance to get into the Championship playoffs in order to fight for the ascent to the maximum circuit of Premiership.
By stunning a noisy and raucous Etihad Stadium and its follower’s- the Latics really went for the glory and repeated histories past against the Sky Blues.
For the visiting Wigan squad and its Manager Uwe Rösler, there was a lot to gain and nothing to lose in this match, with a win, their hegemony over the locals; suddenly is becoming a sort of a repetition.
So far the Latics have managed to win in such contested matches and in situations that really matter for them- still they need a sort of continuity.
If you remember after winning the FA Cup this squad went in disgrace to the always known descent league known as the Championship, were they currently fight of their right to ascend.
Today the lads under the orders of Skipper Rösler are enjoying the fruits of their labor as well making history in advancing in this event considered as another of importance in English football circles.
The FA Cup is an honor worth of fighting for these so called small clubs, that winning this trophy really will put them into the European spotlight after getting one of the available positions, courtesy of this award.
Wigan under their former Manager Roberto Martinez, won the last edition of this shield as well their first major one, before their unfortunate mishap previously mentioned.
As the reigning champions in this competition with today’s heroics and eliminating in what many see this Citizens squad as a contender in winning the Premiership and contend in Champions league- this victory was pure effort and excel in the field for this lads.
Not only eliminating the Man- City squad from contending for their second trophy and its Manager of showing off its squad power,  this match shattered their honor by a motivated and determined Wigan Latics going for everything.
At the end Wigan will have another obstacle before their plans of reaching the final match to be played at Wembley on May 17th- still Arsene Wegners Gunners are on their path for another repeat of this shield making it into the halls of DW Stadium, by now enjoy your ultimate accomplishment!
