A determined and
feisty Toffees squad is what many of its faithful at Goodison Park saw in
disbelief, how their Bhoys determination earned them a step closer to the top
European positions.
By trashing in what
many saw on Skipper Arsene Wegner’s once almighty Arsenal as an unstoppable
entity, as of today, there’s’ nothing left of that squad’s power after being trounced
by the Goodison local’s.
In today’s match,
considered by both squads as important and crucial in their quest to the league
top as well assure them the last position for Champions League.
Somehow the Toffees
lads came through and delivered heroically to its fans as well their Manager’s
plans of achieving a total victory.
Sealing it with style
and silencing the Gunners strikers, is what the Everton chaps did all afternoon
and put in evidence of the visitors and its Manager troubles.
Is what Roberto
Martinez the Everton Manager inherited from its predecessor and now Manu Skipper
David Moyes, showing off his all-around legacy in this squad solid defensive
game.
So far the Everton
squad has been a consistent one, placing themselves among the EPL elite and at
times fighting for the top spots, although this squad felt during the campaign in
a sort of a slump, still this club’s determination as well ambition have got
them in the position they’re on!
As the Toffees current
place in the table and within one point of Arsene Wegner Gunners for the last position
of Europe’s top tourney, as well within eleven points of the top position in Premiership.
Suddenly is like a
see saw between the Chelsea Blues and the Liverpool Reds, who this latter ones
are seating atop the league with a mere two point lead; meaning that anything
can happen with just a few matches left in league play.
It’s where the Toffees
with this style of playing with a passion and overall ambition, which is a
possibility of seeing them in a couple of weekends as a new leader in the Barclays
League, top.
For now Manager Roberto Martinez will savor
this victory and focus into their next compromise as visitors at the Stadium of
Light to visit a decimated Sunderland squad, as this match is not seen as a
walk in the park.
As the Black Cats,
have a lot to gain with an upset in front of their home crowd against the Everton
lads, by stopping them cold in their tracks in their quest of excellence, with
just six matches left in this campaign-
the Toffees finally can soar to new heights’ as they did in today’s match.
