A Stubborn Cottagers Seeking Premiership Salvation

When the Fulham Cottagers introduced Felix Magath as its third skipper, many thought that this was the beginning of the end for the residents of Craven Cottage.

As this London based squad has seen the worst of their faiths in this edition of the English Premier League, suddenly is taking matters into their own hands as well showing a winning initiative in their last two matches’ played.

With a disastrous campaign this 2013, the Whites started under Manager Martin Jol, who showed a lack of generating some competitiveness as well positive results- is when this London club decided to dismiss of his services.

Then came Rene Muelsteen took over for his countrymen and tried in vain of turning things around at Riverside with a continuance of odd and negative results that sank Fulham deeper in the table as well into the bottom positions in the overall table.

Still this London club had some fight and spirit in its players who aren’t giving up that easily, after a win against a dismal Newcastle United and opened again the faith in the Craven Cottage lads.

Third time is the charm, as many said and the Fulham front office decided to gamble on German born FĂ©lix Magath as their third skipper, who really is lifting some eyebrows with its last two matches and uplifting results.

Indeed, with back to back wins over Aston Villa and a Norwich City squad that once occupied the infamous EPL relegation positions, suddenly its salvation is on jeopardy after losing to the emergent Cottagers.

For now the Whites are savoring their all-around achievement in winning three points of gold and trailing their rivals who they trounced today by just two points- yes a win along an odd result for the Canaries the Whites are out of the danger zone!

First things first, as the league is winding down and with four matches left before this 2013-14 edition folds, the Cottagers are on the verge of saving their hive as well making a one of a kind turnaround of staying a put in Premiership.

A commitment of absolute stubbornness is what first year Manager Felix Magath is looking for his chaps as their schedule doesn’t look as easy or difficult in some ways.

Don’t scratch these Whites off as their upcoming compromises with three squads not fighting for their permanency as the Tottenham Hotspur’s, Hull City Tigers, Stoke City Potters and almost saved Crystal Palace Eagles.

This squad to really watch and follow its progress in the reaming matches as well the results that come out of these compromises, best of luck Cottagers.
